I know, I absolutely suck for being gone so long. I've had some family issues lately and I've been busy with my own gymnastics summer practice which is legit six hours a day five days a week. I'm sorry for not writing.

Recap:

"Okay, fine, whatever." I laugh as Mason pulls me into the cafeteria and towards the lunch line.

People actually stop eating and stare when they see him. Girls start fixing their hair at their tables and giggle. It's pathetic, really.

"What are you doing in here?" A snobby voice asks loudly.

This should be fun, real fun.

Mason stops talking and looks up.  Yes, I'm so short he has to look down to talk to me or even look at me.  It's not my fault that being a serious gymnast can stunt your growth.

"Oh, you know.  Just trying to seduce Mason here because I'm a slut, remember?" My reply is immediate and sounds completely innocent.  Can I just shut up for once?

"Haha very funny, Dylan.  Anywho, Mason, I was hoping that you'd like to sit with me and the girls today.  It's been so long since we last sat together which is odd, especially after what happened the other night," she says biting her lip trying to be seductive.  I roll my eyes at her attempt.

"Stop making up rumors, Christina.  I bet nothing happened between you two.  Right Mason?" I say confidently and I look at Mason for back up but he's looking at the ground avoiding my gaze.  Oh...

Christina laughs hysterically and it startles me.  I didn't know a person's laugh could sound so... witch like.

"Wow, look at that.  Poor, flat chested, short, ugly Dylan thought she had a chance with the school's bad boy.  But here's a tip Dylan, he's nothing but a player.  He always will be.  And you know why?  Because he can't go over me," she hisses violently and stomps off.

I feel sort of claustrophobic in the huge cafeteria and now and all I want is to get out.  I before I know it I'm walking away on my crutches as fast as I can, which is pretty fast because of all the arm strength I have.

I find myself sitting behind the bleachers on the ground just looking at the current P.E class going on.

I know it was silly of me to think that Mason was one way, when I didn't know him at all.

"You're fast, you know that?" Mason asks sitting next to me.  I continue to pick at the grass not speaking.

"Don't let her upset you, Dylan.  She's a bitch.  Always has been always will be," he says.  I still don't look up or say anything.

"Yeah, it was upsetting for her to call me flat chested and ugly, but I can't help if either of those are true-,"

"They aren't... Well, you're not ugly," Mason says and I laugh but immediately stop.

"I don't want to be a person who tells you how to live your life or who to be friends with.  But I can't be your friend if Christina is always going to be around," I say finally looking at him to find him already looking at me.

"I know... That what I do isn't right, and I'll be honest with you.  Yeah, I've slept with her, but it was two years ago before I knew how crazy she was.  I've had nothing to do with her ever since.  I promise." He says looking straight into my eyes and I smile and nod my head.
