Ruby Hiltons Disaster Diary (Birthday)

Dear Diary,

Today was the worst birthday I have ever had, even worst then that year when, my parents came in my class during school and gave me a surprise party while I was working on a project with my crush!

It all started at 10 this morning when me and my family went to blush park for a birthday picnic. All of a sudden it when from blue skies to pouring rain, with in 1 minute.

We all rushed back to the car but when we got back to the car my dad had left the lights on which had drained all the battery, so we were stuck! I sat next to my sister who was singing Baa Baa Black Sheep. After 5 minutes of listening to it, I had got fed up and yelled at her to stop. My mum told me off and said that i was ground for the next month.

I yanked the car door handle and stomped through the mud, by the time i had reached the only shelter possible (aka a tree) I was drenched to my skin, covered in mud and to make it even worst my mascara had smudged all over my face. "oh well it's better then being in a stuffy car with my family" i whispered to myself.

" Could this day get any worst"? i asked myself, but obviously I had spoke to soon. Oliver (my crush) was standing right behind me! " Wow!! I mean.. umm.. Happy Birthday!!" He said in his relaxed and dreamy voice. "Ummm thanks" I managed to blurt out. " Ummm you've got a little something on your face." I rubbed my cheeks clean embarrasly as he watched me " I have to go but i'll see you around sometime." I said walking off to the bathroom to clean my face.

I walked in to the bathroom, washed my face and went to the toilet. I got into the cubicle and then realised that I was in the men's bathroom, but it was to late because someone had come in. I stepped back and ' Splash ' my foot went straight into the toilet. I pulled my leg out of the toilet and ran out of the bathroom.

On my way out my skirt had caught on a hook and it ripped, at that moment I realised the person in the bathroom was Oliver!!! By then I was on the verge of tears. I was looking down, trying to fix my skirt when all of a sudden i hear a ' vroom vroom' and an impatient shout. My stupid parents and sister had left with out me! I then had to walk 3 km home.

2 hours later I had got home and found my grandma waiting on the door step for me. She treats me like a baby. walked into the house and went straight up to my bedroom and here I am now writing in my diary. Im going to go to sleep now. Its New Year's Eve soon, i'll have to write about that!
