Stars were brighter that night. The full moon showed at the dark blue sky, covered by clouds. Mijoo was at the garden. She felt like something was off that day.

Moments passed, a sudden ring on her phone was heard. She answered it quickly.

"Hello?"

[Mijoo-yah.] It was Lay. His voice was a little bit husky like he just cried. Then she heard sobs on the other line.

'Something is really off this day'

"What happened? Why are you crying?"

Instead of answering, Lay cried harder. That was the time Mijoo panicked, biting her nails.

"Don't be like that. You're making me worried! What happened?"

[C-chi-chi, s-she... d-died.] Lay said in between his sobs and Mijoo felt something in her chest grew heavier.

"Y-yah! That was not funny Lay. Your joke isn't funny."

[I wish it was only a joke too, Mijoo.]

And again, his sobs can be heard.  Immediately, she went to Lay's house since his house was just a few walks away.

Chichi was Lay's first and favorite dog. He treated her like his own daughter. Every morning he would walk with her. Why does he treat a dog like this? It's because his grandmother gave Chichi to him and his grandmom passed away so Chichi is very important to Lay.

Now, I think your wondering why Chichi is important to Mijoo too. Did I mention that Lay and Mijoo are cousins? No? Oh. My bad.

Going back to Mijoo, she barged in Lay's house. When she opened the door, she saw Lay holding his phone while sitting near Chichi. There's blood on Chichi's lower body and... four new born baby dogs.

'Should I be happy that Chichi gave birth? Or be sad that she died? I don't know what to feel'

Mijoo went closer to Lay and rubbed his back, comforting him.

She went to the kitchen and brought him a glass of water. "I'll just clean this up okay?" She said. Lay nodded, staring blankly at his dog.

Mijoo cleaned up everything, the blood, the baby dogs but she didn't know where to put Chichi's body.

"Yixing-ah." Mijoo called him in his real name. He lifted his head up to look at the girl standing.

"Where should I put her?"

Lay stood up and took a shovel.

"In the garden."

After burying Chichi, the two checked if the new born dogs were okay. Fortunately, they're fine and healthy.

"Are you okay now?" Mijoo asked her cousin. Lay showed a small smile at her, letting his deep dimple appear.

"Help me naming them." Lay said.

As I said earlier, there were four puppies, two brown, one white and one black. They named the brown colored Lucky and Lily while the white and black ones were Clover and Coco.

"Mijoo-yah, just sleep here. It's late already." Lay said and she agreed. Mijoo have clothes in Lay's house because she often sleep or hangout with Lay and the band.

Before she went up to the room, the doorbell rang. She opened the door and the gate and saw a gallon of strawberry flavored ice cream and a rose with a letter with it, an orange rose this time.

'Hey there. I know that you're depressed. Remember, people always come and go, so does dogs. I heard she gave birth before she died. Can I have one? Haha. Just kidding. Strawberry is you're favorite flavor right? A hyung of mine said to me that your stress food is ice cream so I bought one. Cheer up now hmm? After you eat this, brush your teeth okay? You don't want to have a toothache. Just keep on smiling. I love you my Princess, always and forever.'
