Snape's Daughter

Chapter 1

Leila's POV

"Dada, dada, dada!" I yelled in my five-year-old voice.

"Yes, Angel?" Came my dad's reply.

"Can I go visit Grandpa Dumbledore?" I asked using my puppy dog eyes, which worked on everybody, even Mr. Filch, who hated everybody.

"Of course Angel, just don't bother him if he's busy."

"Okay!" I said and ran out the door and up the stairs away from the dungeons, since it was school time, I had to be away from my daddy so he could prepare his classes for all the big kids at Hogwarts how to brew potions and stuff.

"Hello Leila." Came a voice. I stopped running and backtracked, looking down a corridor to see Professor McGonagall.

"Hello Professor!!" I said with my angelic smile, that gets everyone wrapped around my finger.

"What are you doing roaming the corridors?" She asked me.

"I'm going to go see Grandpa Dumbledore!!" I told her cheerfully. I know Professor Dumbledore isnt my real grandfather, but he's close enough and treated me like his granddaughter.

"Well, off you you go then sweetie." She dismissed with a smile and kept walking to her classroom.

I continued running down the corridors, until reaching upon Grandpa's gargoyle. I told it the password, which happened to be 'Butterbeer' and walked up the steps to Grandpa's office.

No one answered, so I walked back to the Great Hall and opened the big doors. I walked by the Gryffindor table and saw Charlie Weasley turn in his seat.

"Hey Lil, watchya gonna do today?" He greeted me.

"Hi Charlie! Um, I am not too sure quite yet I was thinking about playing with Keto." I replied. Keto was my pet snake that I've had since I was three when daddy bought him for me. He is my best friend and he has always stays close, mainly wrapped around my arm.

"Well, have fun Lil!" And he turned back to his friends and started eating again. I countinued to walk and said Hello to anyone that said it first. As you can plainly see, I was loved at Hogwarts by all the students. Even the Slytherins liked me, and they weren't exactly full of pizaz to anyone that walked by.

I finally made it to Grandpa Dumbledore's side.

"Hello Leila, how are you doing today?"

"Really good Grandpa Dumbledore! I went up to your office, but you weren't there so I came here instead."

"Oh, well that was nice of you. Now why don't you have some yummy breakfast."

Daddy started cutting up some pancakes and put syrup on them.

"Thanks daddy!" I said and started eating.

I finished eating and started walking out with the big kids to see Polly walking towards me.

"Hello Polly, how are you today?" I asked with my signature smile and angelic voice. Polly was a sixth year and friends with Charlie.

"Hey Lil! And I'm wonderful today, how about you?" She replied.

"I'm great,just about to go outside and play with Keto!"

"You're lucky you don't have to go to classes" She said tickling me.

"No I'm not! I can't wait to turn 11 and get my wand!" I smiled at the thought of getting to learn here at Hogwarts...my home.

"Whatever you say Lil. I'll catch you later I have potions to get to." And at that she left to the dungeons.

At that, I walked outside with Keto and sat underneath the Whooping Willow. I know what your thinking,but it doesn't attack me. It was a nice warm day, a shining sun and fluffy white clouds to brighten my already happy mood.

"What are we doing today?" Keto asked me.

Before you ask, yes, I'm a Parsell tongue.

"Not too sure Keto. Wanna go visit the house elves?" I hissed back.

He replied 'Sure' and we set off to the kitchen.

I looked over and saw Hagrids little hut next to the edge of the forest.

"Hey Keto, let's go visit Hagrid first."

Keto only hissed in response and we turned and walked to his hut. I knocked.

"Come in." He said. I walked in and said, "Hi Hagrid!" With my angelic voice, which everyone really does say is angelic.

"Hello ther Lil! How are ya terday?" He asked.

"I'm great Hagrid, and you? I asked petting his doggie, Fang.

"I'm doin' good meslef thanks fer askin'." He answered, attempting to make tea.

He took the tea over and sat down across from where I had sat down, passing me a cup of tea.

"So, what are ya and Keto doin' terday?"

"Actually we were going to go to the kitchens, but decided to pop in and say hello. After that, we haven't got a clue."

"Sounds like fun." He said.

"Well, I suppose I might come down tomorrow or later today. Thanks for having me and thanks for the tea!"

And I rushed out the door to the fruit painting and tickled the pear, letting myself into the kitchens. Lula, a little elf with a purple bow, came up and greeted me.

"Hello Lula! I was just wondering if you could spare me a few meat scraps for Keto?"

She asked off to get the scraps and came back giving me a chair to sit in next to the fire. "Here you are Miss Leila!"

"Thank you Lula." I said giving the scraps to Keto.

We stayed in the kitchen until lunch. I went back with my daddy as had lunch, then went to the library and read some first year books. It was 5 o'clock by the time I was done with one book. Wow this is pretty hard for first years. I thought until I flipped it over and read it was for seventh years. Laughing at myself I walked into the Great Hall and ate dinner.
