The billion-fold hiss of water dripping echoed in the cave. I kept going, even though the shortage of brightness I had left on my head light. And I was hopelessly lost. It was casket-black down here and I was afraid that I mightn't make it out alive.
Curiosity had taken over me once again. A curious archaeologist looking for what? Nothing but an answer?
But beyond the pit in my stomach were it churned and twisted from the sight of a billion skulls which surrounded... I was THRILLEDto see a light shining, no matter the dimness which I remember quickly dismissing . But, it was something more than a dim shine, more than I had hoped for.
It was a quick change. Fear, to thrill, to fear again .
