My love story

Chapter 3

           "Brittany!" Lauren sputtered out loud "What are you doing here?"

           "Well I just couldn't get over the fact that your dads been talking to you about Anthony and how he thinks that you shouldn't be with him. So I came over to see if you were here and if you wanted to talk about it to get this argument out of your mind."

           "Okay then do you want to meet me at the mall tomorrow?"

           "Sounds fine to me. I also hope we can square this out before school starts, which would be 14 days."

           "Well that's great 10th grade here we come." The girls both walk home together because Brittany was only a couple of blocks away they ended up talking about the problem.

            "Hey can I... um... I don't know call you later?" Lauren said deeply under her breathe to Brittany.

             "Yah why?" She questioned with a look.

             "I'll tell you later, bye!" Lauren ran off to her house and not to a pleasant surprise her dad of people was sitting on the front porch steps.

            "Lauren we need to... Um... Talk. I know you probably think that I'm a jerk because I was talkin..."

            Lauren cut him off. "Dad I don't think that your a jerk it's just that when your 18 your basically legal to date or perhaps say get oh I don't know... married."

           "Your not saying that you want to get married now do you because you have only been together for about a year now. It may seem like a long time has gone by of you and him but it hasn't even been that long."

         "Dad I know that it hasn't been such a long time?" She trailed off suddenly to see that a red mustang had just pulled into the driveway. "Dad... Um who is that?"

"Heather..." He sputtered. Without time wasted he ran over to the car opened the car door pulled a female right out of her seat and hugged her for a very long time.

"Dad what are you doing? Lauren asked. "Why are you hugging a random person?"

"I'm not a random person. The women began. "I thought you would be able to guess who I am right away."

Tears rolled down Lauren's cheeks. She never had dreamed of ever seeing her mother again but here she was standing in plain sight of Lauren's wet eyes. "I... I... I can't believe it... Mom is that really you?!?" She ran over to her and hugged her more than her father did.

"Lauren it's so wonderful to see you again."

Lauren had to think fast what was she going to do with her mother that night. "Mom I missed you?" Out of plain sight she saw Anthony's mother drive by the house and go to Anthony's house. "Hey um I know you just got here but could you excuse me for one second? Thx be right back!"
