Jay stared out the window the whole time in the car.
No music played, the two males didn't even talk to each other.
The car was filled with awkward silence, they did give each other a glance here and there, but other than that.
Nothing.
Tim sighed, they were at a stop light, Tim glanced at Jay who had his eyes closed.
Tim shifted a little in his seat, watching Jay from the corner of his eye. Tim seemed a bit at ease seeing Jay getting some sleep. Seeing his only friend, the person who he wants to see alive, getting some sleep was somewhat comforting.
They were going to another motel across town, Tim let out a small sigh as the light turned green.
After a few minutes of driving, Tim pulled into a parking lot, looking at Jay, the younger male let out a few whimpers, shuddering in his seat.
"Jay." Tim called out in a low, soft voice as if not wanting to wake the sleeping male.
Jay flinched when Tim touched his shoulder, letting out more whimpers.
"Jay.. Come on buddy, wake up." Jay opened his eyes slowly groaning in pain, he placed his hand on his forehead.
"Ow.." He groaned out, looking at Tim.
Tim looked away, "Come on, lets get in our motel room.." Jay nodded, grabbing his head he was having a small headache, nothing too painful to be worried about but it was painful enough to make it hard for him to think.
Getting out of the car, Jay walked over to the back of the car, opening the trunk, Tim had walked off to get them a room.
Jay looked through his stuff to see if everything was still there.
"Where is it.." He muttered looking through his bag, he knew he had some tapes in the bag but where were they?
Jay sighed realizing that the tapes were gone.
'That hooded man must of taken them..' Jay thought, 'he did break into our other motel room..' Jay shook his head, 'He kidnapped Tim and I, took the tapes and then that masked man attacked me.. What could possibly be worst than that? Death? That faceless thing coming after us?' Jay looked up when something moved out of the corner of his eye, looking to his left, he spotted some teens walking down the street chatting to each other and laughing.
"Jay, you okay buddy?" Jay looked at Tim, a bit startled.
"Uh.. Yeah.. Just a bit paranoid I guess.." Jay didn't tell Tim about the tapes, not wanting him to freak out.
'What if he asks? Then what'll I do? Tell him that I lost them? Tell him the truth? Okay.. He won't officially attack me like last time..' The more Jay thought about it the more Jay wanted to lie about the tapes, then again he only told Tim he found one tape, not five.
Jay grabbed his things and followed Tim to their motel room.
Tim unlocked the door to the room, opening it for Jay to walk in, Jays headache grew more painful by the second.
Jay dropped his bag by one of the beds near the bathroom, farthest from the window as he felt the pounding in his head get worst, like his brain was about to explode.
He sat down, trying to clear his mind, "Hey, Jay.." Jay turned to look at Tim who was in the bathroom, "Mind closing the curtains in there?" He could hear the shower running as Jay stood from his spot on the bed and walked across the room to one of the windows, grabbing the thick fabric in front of the large window and closing it, he suddenly felt cold, glancing down, he scoffed slightly seeing that the air conditioner in the room was on, leaning down he turned off the air conditioner before sitting back down on his bed, untying his shoes, Jay kicked his shoes off onto the floor, feeling slightly relieved that he was a bit comfortable, he took off his hat and put it on the nightstand, then he unzipped his brown jacket, tossing it to the floor.
Grabbing his green book bag and dragging it over to him, he settled it on the bed, unzipping the it, he dug through the bag, searching for some comfortable clothing to wear to bed.
Grabbing his sweatpants and a new shirt, he decided to change into some new clean clothing.
Jay decided to wait for Tim to get out of the shower than have him walk in on him changing.
After about half an hour past Jay heard the shower finally turn off, he let out a heavy sigh 'finally, I thought he might never leave!' Jay chewed the inside of his cheek as Tim walked out of the bathroom wearing a light grey t-shirt but was still wearing his blue jeans. Jay didn't look at him for long as he turned away to grab his night clothing.
"I'm going to guess that you used all of the hot water?" Jay joked as he walked into the bathroom, he heard Tim let out a small laugh, which had seem like a long time since Jay ever heard the man laugh, as he then said, "Well you should've said something if you wanted any of the hot water."
Jay shook his head slightly even though he knew Tim couldn't see it. "It's okay! I could go for a cold shower anyway." He closed the bathroom door and locked it before getting himself undressed and turning on the shower, letting the cold water run, Jay looked at himself in the fogged up mirror. He wiped his hand against the mirror creating a streak along the mirror so that he could look at himself in the mirror.
The person in the mirror was almost unrecognizable.
Staring back at him was himself but with everything that's been happening, he was surprised that the reflection looking back at him was him. His short brown hair was a mess, jutting out at every angle from Jay wearing his hat all the time, his eyes looked dull and lifeless it was like at any moment he would kneel over and die, his once hopeful light blue eyes seemed so dark and full of dread now that it physically made Jay shake at how much he has changed, and to add on top of the shit that has happened to him, Jay looked like he hasn't ate a decent thing since this whole shit began but he couldn't blame himself, both him and Tim were practically living off of gas station food, which wasn't a lot.
Jay decided he was sick of staring at himself and how messed up he looked and decided instead to just jump into the cold shower to at least wash the filth of mud, dirt, and maybe even blood (if there were any) off of him.
When he got out of the shower Tim was outside the room smoking a cigarette. Jay didn't even want to go outside to try to talk to him, he was too exhausted.
First they get kidnapped again, then that hooded guy steals all of the tapes, and then Jay is attacked by the masked man and nearly killed again. He just wanted to get one good night of sleep without something trying to kill or harm him.
So as Jay climbed under the covers of his bed, he didn't both turning the lights off, knowing better than to do that, he just turned his back to the lamp on the nightstand between both Jay's and Tim's beds, he closed his eyes and it didn't take long for him to fall asleep, but his dreams were filled with horrifying pictures and terrifying beasts that haunted his mind.
