I sat in my office chair, I finished my work with haste and tapped my pen on my desk as I stared at the wall beside my office door. I dreaded this day every year, it reminded me of how alone in this world I truly am.

I regretted killing my mate, my heart yearned for my mate. He was moon given and I didn't even try to fight for his heart I just killed him heartlessly. 'Sigh' regret weighed heavily on my mind.

Nah I'm just kidding I wished I ate his heart and tortured the brute asshole to death. How stupid it was of me not to eat his damn heart or even torture him to death I gave him a painless death and that's the only thing I regret, rolling my eyes and stood up and looked the clock strike twelve, looks like it's my birthday, Or the day mother found me.

I walk out of my office after tidying up a bit only to have a knife to my beta's throat.

"Mike tell me why I shouldn't beat your fucking ass right now," I growl at my beta and he chuckled.

"Happy birthday alpha, " he whispered and I shake my head this guy is an idiot.

"Thanks Mike," I began walking away
"Hey you promised this year you actually tell me your age," he pouted grabbing my arm, I sighed.

"Im 40," I replied and he gasps before dong a double take,

"You look at least twenty," he mumbled eyeing me even more.
"I stopped aging at 20, that was 20 years ago. Now can I go to bed?" I glared at him. He sighed and stepped back.

I walked away but not before kicking him in his man hood, I left him crying in pain as I hummed my way to the stairs. I climbed the stairs and stepped in my bedroom striping my clothes off leaving my panties on and throwing on a tank top and climbing into bed.

I closed my eyes and let sleep take over, entering a dreamless state.

Bang! My bedroom door flew open and tiny arms tried to climb on my king size bed, I smiled, popping my eyes open, my eyes meet with a vibrant blue much similar to my mates'

"Mummy, mummy wake up I'm trying to wish you happy birthday, " my little man cried out dramatically I grab him and pulled him on my lap.

His tiny arms engulf me in a hug.
"Happy birthday mummy, I love you," I smiled kissing his forehead.
"I love you to," I replied tickling his sides.

My beta rushes in my room I shoot him a pointed look as I cover my lower half
"We have a problem, " he looked everywhere but me. I raised an eyebrow
"Cora is gone, word is she want Max back and she gonna sell our secret to the king, " I snarled at him as soon as he was finished .

"That fucking slut," I growled even more as I gently rest my son down and then rush out of bed. Grabbing my pants
Throwing them on and then grabbing my son and rushing out the door with the beta hot on my heels.

"Mummy you promised no work today you promised," he cried as I handed him to the Delta.

"But my love a mean lady wants to take my Bubba away from me she wants to take you," I said kissing his forehead. "remember the rules, mummy has to kill a snake,"
"I know the rules momma, " I smile kissing him softly on the cheek.

I rush outside with my beta, together we and the pack warriors searched the pack grounds for any clues but it's like she ran the whole entire forest in bloody circles. Then it struck, it's an distraction. A fucking distraction, 'I cant believe I been played ' I thought bitterly to myself. I growl loudly, everyone stop moving threw out the forest.

"Its a fucking distraction, " I roar run at vampire speed to my house with the others hot on my tail.
"Max," I shouted searching every room for him. By the time the beta reached I was done. The fucking Delta he took my baby. Then my eyes flashed, I had Mike by his throat.

"Did you know?" I asked using my alpha tone as he trembled in fear, I was ready to kill him and dispose of his body.

"No alpha," he gasps out. I drop him immediately after narrowing my eyes at him, they took him. That bitch Cora came in the day after he was born pleading for me to put him in the orphanage. All that I would never give him up was bullshit. Fucking slut didn't want him now takes my four son. I growl in frustration he's mine I'll kill her and I'll kill that fucking delta to.

As soon as I looked into the blue eyes much similar to his father's, he had me hooked around tiny little fingers.I adopted him, raised him and now he's gone.

I turned and walk to my office and began destroy it, Taking things and started throwing it, flipping the desk over breaking the book case throw the leather couch and the leather chairs out the window.

I calmed down just a bit to sense the presence of the beta.
"Prepare for the arrival of the council I want training to be extended to another hour, every man woman and child should know how to fight by now." I ordered him.

"But alpha I...... " I cut him off.
"Are you questioning me Beta? Because we know what happens when I'm questioned," I turn to glare at him.

Four years of being alpha and my pack every man, woman and child trains to fight so when the men are away the women and children can hold their ground not to mention they train with with weapons. Only children older than twelve train with weapons. of course I'm not a fool who believes women and children are supposed to be under ground.

"Of course alpha, " he bowed leaving me to watch my mess of an office. Sighing I wondered how I would start skinning cora at her ankles.

Our pack now ranks number two in the top ten. But no one knows but the pack knows I'm alpha. I'll kill the bitch if anything happens to my Max, I don't think I can take it if he's hurt after all I'm his mother.

I can't lose my Maxy to, roaring out I punch a hole in the wall. I'm gonna kill them all.

"Its done alpha," Mike informs me and I dismiss him but before he left completely I stopped him.

"I know you're hiding something just know Mike, if you betray me ill torture you death, feed you my blood and restart the fucking process." I turn to him with my flashing red before continuing "That child is close as I would get to a normal family. death would only befall the idiots who harm him and betray me."

"What are you saying alpha, I love him after all he's the true heir to the pack. I would be crazy to betray you both," I stared at his back as it grew more distant from me. And I clench my fist, I could shake the feeling I was getting.

I felt like I was going to lose everything but gain something important. I dont like this feeling, usually my gut has never been wrong. Sighing I plant my ass in my messy office floor, 'What should I do?'
