It was May 11th. The second sunday in May. Also known as Mother's day. Now, America and Canada, didn't have a mother or father, but they always saw the grumpy brit as their mother and the flirt france their father.
Today, the small colonies, wanted to do something extra special for England. "C'mon Papa! Pwease help us! We wanna make mama happy!" America held his small hands in fists and gazed up at France with pleading eyes. Canada, the poor boy, just hid behind his loud brother and nodded.
"Oui, I'll 'elp you. What would you like to do?" He ruffled the American's hair and picked up the small Canadian.
"I wanna give 'im flowers!" America flung his arms in the air.
"I-I want to make pancakes.. a-and get him a card." Canada snuggled into his papa's side.
"Lets go then. England will be 'ome in a few 'ours." France stood from his seat and walked towards the door.
"Yay!" America skipped along behind him and climbed into his seat. "Hurry up papa!" He whined.
France chuckled and finished putting Canada in the car and strapping them both in. "Oui, oui." He slid into the drivers seat and drove them to the market near their home. America jumped out of the car and yanked france's leg.
"Lets go, lets go, lets go!" He jumped up in down, looking around at the business.
"'Old on, 'old on." He picked Canada up and placed him next to his brother. "Now, we dont 'ave a lot of time, so we must be quick, oui?"
"Oui." Canada replied with a soft smile.
"Off we go then."
