Aubrey's New House ↑ ↑ ↑
____________Aubrey's POV
"I'm sorry, Aubrey, but your father and I both agreed that you should spend your senior year in high school with him. It would be best for you," my mom said to me for the hundredth time today.
"He left us when I was seven. He doesn't deserve to see me," I said, looking out the car window.
"We resolved our issues and we're almost at his house, so at least act happy to see him. Please do it for me."
"Fine."
Not even five minutes later, we arrived at a light blue two-story house with a red door. It was beautiful. When we got out it got out, I realized how beautiful the house was.
Next door, a guy around my age came out of his house and was yelling at a woman I presume was his mother. The guy was really hot and was about six feet tall.
"He's really cute. You two would be a cute couple," my mom whispered to me, grinning ear to ear, while knocking on the door of my father's house.
"Stop, Mom!" I whisper-yelled at her, while the hot guy got on his motorcycle and drove off.
"I'm sorry if you heard our argument. He's a handful to say the least. I'm Rachel Daniels. That was my son," the hot guy's mom said to me.
"I'm Aubrey Thompson. It's nice to meet you," I said to Rachel.
It was at that moment that my father opened the door, with a beautiful woman trailing behind him.
"Hi, Aubrey. Hello, Talia. Come on in," my father said to us. He tried to hug me, but I wouldn't let him.
We walked in with some of my boxes and my suitcase and set them down, then went back out and got more. After around five minutes, we finished, so my mom and I sat down in my father's house.
"Aubrey, I would like you to meet my fiancé, Diana," my father said, pointing at the woman who was trailing behind him when he opened the door, "and her son, Anthony." Anthony was very good-looking. Too bad he's going to be my stepbrother in the future.
"Nice to meet you two," I said, shaking their hands. Afterwards, my mom shook both their hands.
"I would love to stay and help you unpack, but I should start on the long drive home. I love you, Aubrey. I'll call you soon. Goodbye," my mom said while hugging me.

While I was unpacking all of my stuff, Anthony walked in and just stared at me.
"A picture would last a lot longer, by the way," I said to Anthony.
"Sorry," he said, "Do you need any help?"
"Yeah, can you start unpacking that box labeled books in it? Just put all them on the bookshelf, please."
"Okay."
After a couple minutes Anthony said, "I take it you don't like your dad at all."
"You are correct, sir."
"That was a stupid question, wasn't it?"
"Yup," I replied, popping the 'p' at the end.
"So, do you have any questions about your new school or anything in particular?"
"Who's the guy next door, Mrs. Daniels' son?"
"That's Hunter. He's the bad boy at your new school. You shouldn't hang out with him. He's trouble. I made that mistake already."
"What happened between you two?"
"All you need to know is that we were friends, and now we're not."
"Would you want to become friends again?"
"I guess, yeah."
"Is he single?"
"He'll just break your heart in the end."
"So, is that a yes?"
"Yeah."
"On to a different subject, do you like my father?"
"Nope, he keeps trying to take my father's place. He never will though."
"What happened to your dad?"
"Long story short, my parents got divorced, and my dad moved across the country."
"Oh, okay. Do you want to watch a movie or something, because I'm done unpacking."
"Sure. You wanna watch Deadpool?"
"Let's do it."
