Chapter 28 - Morse Code

"What the fuck are you doing here?" nanlilisik ang mga matang tanong ni Tyler. Nakakuyom ang mga kamao niya. He's in fight mode and is looking very deadly.

Still wearing his wicked grin, Troy stands up. "I wanted to talk to you. It's about time we talk don't you think?"

Hindi ko alam kung dapat kong ipagpasalamat na nakaalis na si Mama, because if she were here, siguradong kahit papaano magpipigil ang dalawang 'to. Walang kamatayang awkwardness naman ang magaganap if ever she's here.

These two in the same room will cause nothing but trouble.

"There's nothing to talk about." Marahas na tinuro ni Tyler ang pintuan. "Get the fuck out of here."

Nakapamulsang naglakad si Troy papunta sa pinto, pero huminto siya sa harap ni Tyler. "Marami tayong kailangang pag-usapan Tyler, and you know that. Also, this isn't your house para paalisin ako." ngumisi si Troy at saka ako tiningnan, "Si Alisson lang ang may karapatang gawin 'yon."

Tyler glares at me, hinihintay ako na palayasin si Troy.

But I don't say anything.

Lalong lumawak ang ngisi ni Troy. "I know you won't talk to me, so I asked her for help."

Lalo namang kumunot ang noo ni Tyler, nagtatanong.

Lumunok ako bago nagsalita. "Tyler..." Tagos sa buto ang masamang tingin niya, pero nagpatuloy ako. "Try listen to your brother."

His teeth grit, "Alisson, what the fuck?"

"You have to listen to him, Tyler please." pakiusap ko, kahit alam kong walang magiging epekto 'yon sa kanya. Tyler is a very stubborn guy. This won't be easy.

"Listen?" nagbuga siya ng marahas na hininga, hindi mapaniwalaan ang mga sinasabi ko. "Why would I? Have you any idea what this fucktard had done?"

I nod slowly, "I know what he did..."

"Then why are you asking me to listen to him?!" halos mag-echo sa buong bahay ang boses ni Tyler. Naglalabasan din ang mga ugat niya sa noo at leg sa sobrang galit. Bumaling siya kay Troy at saka ito kinuwelyuhan. "I asked you one thing, just one fucking thing and that is to stay away from her! And yet you're still here. You never fucking listen to me, so why would I fucking listen to you?!"

Tyler is furious. He looks like he's ready to kill Troy at any second.

Pilit akong pumagitna sa kanila, hinatak ko rin si Tyler palayo kay Troy, he almost didn't budge! He's too strong! "You need to know why he's done those things, Tyler!"

Si Tyler mismo ang kumawala sa'kin. "I can't fucking believe this. Are you taking this fucktard's side now?"

"No! I'm not taking anyone's side, Tyler—"

"Nagkikita ba kayo ng hindi ko alam?" He stares at Troy, and then at me. Parehas kaming hindi nakapagsalita ni Troy. The answer is all over our faces.

We're both guilty.

"Obviously." sagot ni Tyler sa tanong niya. His tone is low, almost growling... as if I betrayed him. "And you believed whatever it was he told you..." ngumisi siya, pero puno ng hinanakit ang mga mata. "Huh. Well fuck." Tyler turns to his brother once more, eyes fiercer than ever. "What version of the story did you tell her this time? What kind of fucking lies? It's our family, our fucking business, bakit palagi mo siyang dinadamay?!"
