After marriage:
Urmila comes out of the bathroom after bathing. Her long hair are open and wet through and through. She is dressing up and is almost done when Lakshman returns from his morning exercises. He sees her struggling with her blouse and smiles. He goes to her, gently puts her hair to one side, and ties her blouse. He then kisses her exposed shoulder, making her blush scarlet, like the rising sun."Sit down Mila, today, your Lakshman shall adorn you. Hmm?", he whispers huskily at her ears. She smiles shyly and sits in front of the dresser. He eagerly goes to the dresser and picks up the earrings from the jewelry box, and goes to her. He puts them in her ears, his hands brushing against her cheeks, tickling her. He moves to the necklace, followed by the bangles and rings. He then picks up the waistband and goes to Urmila, smiling. After securing the latch in place, he runs his hand down the length of her spine, making her arch her back. He laughs lightly and finally picks the anklets. Kneeling down in front of her, he places her leg on his strong thigh and latches the anklet. Moving to the other leg, he tries to latch the other one in place, but is unable to do so. He struggles with it for sometime, when Urmila decides to intervene. "here, let me do it", she says, offering her help. "No, i'll manage" he replys, waving away the offer. He frowns in concentration, his too long fingers fumbling with the delicate latch. The sight reminds Urmila of a 5 year old kid, and her heart swells with love, looking at her husband's boisterous pride. He finally finishes the task at hand, and stands up to look at her. His eyes wander over her perfect body, and he still cannot believe that he deserves this level of good luck. Shrugging away his thoughts, he asks her of her opinion.
Urmila decides to play along, and casually turns to face the mirror. He really did quite well, she thinks to herself. But, there is something missing! She decides to tease him, and says,"Hmm, you've tried well, but......". "But what?", he asks, visibly worried. Lashman always had this thumb rule about whatever he did, it should be perfect. Urmila was aware of this, and was pulling his leg, taking advantage of the same. Urmila gets up and walks behind the chair, slyly picking up the missing thing on her way. She stops after a few paces and turns around dramatically, enjoying the fun. "You forgot this", she says, producing the sindoordaan (vermilion container) from her drapes. Lakshman smiles, and starts to move towards her to fix the lackning, but she steps back, to his utter amazement. "You can surely rectify your mistake, after you catch me!" She breaks into a run, and Lakshman laughs, starting to chase her. The next few minutes are spent in running, chasing, giggling and throwing pillows at each other, their laughter filling up the room lit up by the morning sun. He finally catches and corners her with her back against the wall, and blocks her way with his strong arms. Urmila looks up at his face, and finds all the playfulness gone. He wordlessly takes the sindoordan from her hand, open it and applies the vermilion to her hair parting. He gazes down into her round eyes, his eyes full of passion, reflecting the desire of his soul. Urmila's body is suddenly too hot, despite the cool morning wind. She can't let go of his gaze, his love laden eyes making love to her soul. He gently bends his head down till his lips are just brushing against hers. He holds himself there, aggravating her want, teasing her. Urmila starts hyperventilating. Although it has been over 2 months since their wedding, she can't get over the effect his physical closeness has on her. Finally, unable to take it any more, Lakshman pulls her closer by her slender waist, and presses his lips to hers, sealing them with the promise of eternal love.
THE END.
