Chapter 2.

Collins' POV

"Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me.."

The Fray blasted through my ears as I made my way back to mine and Gracie's house. We have a YouTube channel, and we sing covers, uploading a new video every afternoon. I always listen to the song that we are gonna be singing before I get home, and today we were gonna be singing, you guessed it, You Found Me by The Fray. One of my favorites.

Gracie's POV

While I was logging into YouTube, a pounding on the door nearly made me jump out of my skin.

"YO GRACIE OPEN THE DOOR!"

Thank the lord it's just Collins. I opened the door to my room and met her doubled over figure, clearly dying of laughter because of my horrified expression that wouldn't seem to leave my face.

"You should have seen your face! AHAHAHAHA, oh my gosh, that was perfect!"

"Haha. Very funny. Just get inside." Slight annoyance sounding in my voice, partly because she was STILL laughing.

"Okay, okay. Calm down Gracie Wacie."

After locking the door, I followed Collins into my room.

Sitting in our usual seats, we got adjusted and Collins grabbed her guitar and pulled the strap over her head.

"Okay. I'm ready when you are, Gracie."

Starting the video, Collins began to strum the chords of the familiar song.

"I found God

On the corner of First and Amistad

Where the west

Was all but won

All alone

Smoking his last cigarette

I said, 'Where you been?'

He said, 'Ask anything'."

I belted out the first verse, going along with the strumming pattern of Collins' guitar.

I gave her a look, and she nodded, signaling she knew that it was her turn. Her voice never ceases to amaze me. It's raspy, yet so smooth.

Collins' POV

My verse was coming up now. Making sure my fingers were on the right strings, I strummed the beginning chord and just belted the lyrics out, as I do every time I sing.

"Where were you

When everything was falling apart?

All my days

Were spent by the telephone

That never rang

And all I needed was a call

That never came

To the corner of First and Amistad"

We both prepared for the upcoming chorus.

"Lost and insecure

You found me, you found me

Lyin' on the floor

Surrounded, surrounded

Why'd you have to wait?

Where were you? Where were you?

Just a little late

You found me, you found me"

I personally love how our voices go together. We harmonize perfectly. I don't know how to explain it, other than that it's my favorite sound in the world.

I got ready for the third verse, which I was singing also.

"In the end

Everyone ends up alone

Losing her

The only one who's ever known

Who I am

Who I'm not, who I wanna be

No way to know

How long she will be next to me"

And again, both of us for the chorus.

"Lost and insecure

You found me, you found me

Lyin' on the floor

Surrounded, surrounded

Why'd you have to wait?

Where were you? Where were you?

Just a little late

You found me, you found me"

"Early morning

The city breaks

I've been callin'

For years and years and years and years

And you never left me no messages

Ya never send me no letters

You got some kinda nerve

Taking all I want"

Gracie's voice filled the room as she sang the bridge. Very beautifully, I might add.

"Lost and insecure

You found me, you found me

Lyin' on the floor

Where were you? Where were you?

Lost and insecure

You found me, you found me

Lyin' on the floor

Surrounded, surrounded

Why'd you have to wait?

Where were you? Where were you?

Just a little late

You found me, you found me

Why'd you have to wait?

To find me, to find me"

Our voices faded and we sat silent as my guitar finished the song.

"Well done, Collins."

"As to you, Gracie Wacie." I replied, knowing that she would have something to say, her hating the nickname.

Gracie's POV

"Stop calling me that!" I groaned in frustration, only to be answered with her laughter, AGAIN.

"Just upload the video already."

"Okay. Give me a minute."

Zayn's POV

Once again, I found myself on YouTube, boredom taking over my body. The faint sound of the radio in the next room sounded in my ears. I knew immediately the name of the song; You Found Me by one of my favorites, The Fray.

I decided to search covers of the song, and clicked on one video with a username of @graciemarie_.

After watching the video 3+ times, I knew I had to show someone the talents of these two girls.

"Hey Harry, get in here! I've got something to show you, mate!"

"Coming!" He called back.
