“It was born, for one second it was alive, and the next, not”, said Edward.

“My wife will die herself if she discovers the truth”, exclaimed Edward.

“I don’t know how much time this lie can continue.”

“This is the best decision you can make”, said the preacher.

“If I hadn’t believed these words, we would never be here,” exclaimed Edward to Annabel.

June 6, 6:00 am, 1666.

“Here is your beautiful baby”, said the nurse.

“Thanks,” said Lucy.

“We have a beautiful baby, don’t we Edward?”

“Yes, dear. Now we can go home with our baby,” said Edward.

“Are you sure the girls are fine, we have been in the hospital for quite long.”

“Yes Lucy, Ms. Montgomery is great at taking care of the girls; they are waiting for you.”

“I can’t wait to see them.”

------------------

Melanie, Holly, Cathy, and Annabel Adams were the four daughters of Lucy and Edward. They were all beautiful and with a great personality but really fragile and sensitive. Melanie was the oldest, at only 15 years old, she had had to mature early and be like a second mom to her sisters because her mother Lucy was constantly getting sick. Holly and Cathy were twins; they were adopted after Lucy had been told that she couldn’t have any more babies. Annabel was a miracle from God. She was born out of nowhere, unexpected; especially after the news Lucy had received of not being able to have more babies.

“Girls, girls, where are you?” asked Lucy.

“Here, Mom,” said the girls in chorus.

“Oh, I am going to present you to your new brother: his name is Luke, Luke Adams,” said Lucy.

“Oh, how beautiful the baby is,” said Melanie.

“Mom, where is he going to sleep? There isn’t any more space in the house,” exclaimed Holly.

“Don’t worry Holly, we will find a solution.”

“Okay, Mom.”

“Now girls, go to bed. It is really late. I think Luke will sleep with your parents tonight”, said Ms. Montgomery

“You are right, Ms. Montgomery. It has been a long day and I’m really tired.

------------------------- She Yawned --------------------------

In their bedroom

“Holly is right, Edward, I think we need to find a bigger house so that the girls will have space to grow and play.”

“Yes, Lucy, I will try to find a bigger house for us to live in”

------- 1 year later--------

“Look Lucy, I have been searching and I found this house in Maryland”, said Edward.

“Is beautiful Edward, it has a big yard for the girls to play and a school close by.”

“I will try to contact the company to buy the house.”

“Oh Edward, that would be perfect, to start our new life with a bigger family.”

“I can’t wait to tell the girls about it.”
