"You always seem to be here." Yaku says, blinking. "Why?"
You lauph, smiling (down) at your upperclassman. "Lev invites me, so I always come!"
You both turn to watch him fail another spike, and you smile softly, "He's gotten better these past weeks, don't you think? And I think it's pretty rude if you say no to him. besides I don't exactly have Anything better to do at home."
Yaku smirks. "So lev hasn't told you--"
He's cut off when volleyball hits snack in the face "sorry, Yaku-Senpai!" Lev cries ( though he didn't sound sorry at all) and Yaku jump kicks him.
Lev takes a deep breath. Now or never, he thinks to himself .
"(Y/n)-chan!!!!!"
"Yes?"
Lev blanks out. What would he say? I like you? I think you're cool? I think you're very pretty ? Would You be my girlfriend? None of them seemed right.
"...lev? Are you alright?"
In a last minute, near-ditch attempt, he thinks of a literal worst thing to say that he'd seen on the Internet.
"If ball is life," lev can feel his checks burning . "Then you are my ball!"
A ringing silence fills the court. Take toes is stifling a lauph, kuroo's head is hung (in shame or amusement, lev didn't know), Kai and Yaku looks horrorstuck , and kenma is actually smirking . The other first years are in mingled mortification and giggles , and you yourself gone as red as a strawberry.
Lev wants to blow up.
"You call that a confession?! Taketora howls with laughter "even that shrimp from karasunos couldn't-"
"Okay " you're nodding, and everyone's jaws drops.
"Wait, for real?" Lev asks, and he wonders if he's dreaming .
"I......that was a confession,right?" You say, twiddling your thumbs your thumbs. "Bec I thought you might be asking me out , and..... Well, if you're not, it's totally fine, lev "you don't seem to know what to do after that,looking around at the other volleyball members for support.
Yaku just nods slowly, a coy smile tugging at his lips. Taketora is crying, for a reason
Lev's smile could have put the sun to shame. "I am!" He exclaims, picking you up and hugging you."I'm asking you out!"
When he puts you down, you smile. "Oh, that's great! I don't know what I would have done if you weren't..."
"Maybe you would have played it off?"
"Huh. Yeah,maybe"
"But it doesn't matter, bec I like you anyways!"
"Right,right!"
"So you're coming to all my practices now right?"
"All the practices I can make, lev."
The banter between you two doesn't stop for at least 5 minutes.
The Nekoma team really doesn't know what to do with you two.
