The Walk Home

It was the end of the spring when my life completely changed. Let me start from the beginning.. School was about let out for spring break and the temperature was in its 90s. I stared at the clock watching it tick-tock waiting for the chimes to chime. A light sweat began to form on my forehead because the air conditioner was broken. Two minutes were left before the bell rung, dismissing us to our Spring Break. My mind drifted to my boyfriend Brody and the previous night's events. Brody was cuddling with me on my sofa as Pretty Little Liars was playing on the television in front of us. The intro was playing as I caught Brody looking at me.

"What is it babe," I asked as he slightly chuckled.

"You're just so beautiful and im so lucky to have you in my life. I love you Calli Elizabeth Thompson." He whispered before planting a kiss on my forehead.

"I love you too Brody. More than you'll ever know."

Biiing.Biiing.Biing. The sound of the bells made me jump out of my trance. I grabbed my books and quickly made my way out to my locker. Once getting to my locker I quickly unlocked it, put my books in, and grabbed my car keys. Grabbing my phone from my pocket, I dialed my bestfriend Midnight's number, waiting for her to pick up.

I laughed as I heard her pickup phrase,"yo yo yo! Who dis?"

"It's Calli." I said still giggling at her phrase.

"Shut up, why did you call me," she demanded sounding like she was busy. I didn't mean to disrupt her..

"School just let out for Spring Break and I wanted to know when we are leaving for the beach." I said in a small voice, as if I were weak.

"Oh we'll leave the day after tomorrow, so make sure and pack two bikinis, there's a hotel on the beach and we reserved a few rooms."

I let out a nervous laugh and asked who was paying for all of that and she said her mom was. After that we exchanged goodbyes and I hung up. I was walking home because my house is literally a block or two away when I felt someone walk into me from behind. I felt myself falling towards the ground, but never hitting it.

Without opening my eyes, I said, "watch were your going." The person that caught me helped me up as I slowly lifted my eyes to see someone I surely hadn't expected to ever encounter. It's Caleb freaking Miller!! That's the school's bad boy. I hurried and stood up with wide eyes, feeling slightly insecure.

"Sorry sweet cheeks, but I was enjoying going into you from behind," he arrogantly said as a smirk rose on his face.

I rolled my eyes at his remark and told him, "no thank you, I have a boyfriend." His smirk slightly faltered.

"I could change that," he said as his smirk began to rise once again on his face. I began to laugh at him. He thinks he could change me and Brody's relationship? Ha! That's a great joke! I turned around to walk off to my house like I was once before but his voice once again stopped me.

"Aye, I can get your number?"

I turned around right as I said, "only in your dreams." This time when I walked off I left with a smirk.
