FRED'S POV:
Our argument seemed to never end. Most of the time I couldn't even get a word in while Hermione was raving on about apparently 'not being good enough' and whenever I thought she was finished and decided it would be safe to try and defend myself, she would interrupt me and start again. It was a nightmare! I mean I really do like her, but I could find no way of actually saying something to her. I just wanted to tell her that I like her but I didn't get the chance.
"This is ridiculous! I don't need permission from you, or your brother for that matter, about who I am allowed to be with. If one of you had asked me yourself, maybe this would never have happened." She screamed, pacing the room.
"Hermione, I tried-"
"Shut up!"
"Give me a chance to explain."
"So you can make up some excuse?"
"No, so I can tell you that I actually like you." I had said it. I thought that would fix it all.
"That's pathetic."
"I'm serious."
"Stop messing with me! I've had enough!" Hermione screamed as tears streamed down her cheeks. "I honestly can't take anymore of this. I have been driven and driven and driven to breaking point and now....." She paused. I was starting to get worried for a minute when all of a sudden she broke the silence. "Go away."
"Hermione, I'm-"
"Go to hell, Fred."
And so I left, my footsteps and her sobbing the only sound in the room.
