I had slept in that hut for the second night. I didn't wake up until the mortals came outside like they did every day. Ali saw me cold in the hut.
"Hey, Emma?" She started. I looked up at her, but didn't respond because I was too tired. "I have a spare room in my house, how about you come stay there?" She asked. I instantly woke up gained energy. "I would love to!" I yelled, feeling too excited. In fact, I was so excited, I destroyed my hut.
I stayed out by my destroyed hut, until a bell rang. I saw Ali walk out, and I flew over to her. We got on a yellow vehicle, or as they call, bus. Grace, Teagan, and Emma got on to.
We rode the bus until it stopped and Tegan got off. Then it stopped and I got off. Then it stopped and Grace got of. Then it stopped and Emma got off. "I'm so confused." I started. "You mortals all live next to each other? How?" "Well where neighbors. That means we live next to each other. And you're still saying mortals? Just call us people, or girls, or kids, or whatever!" She answered.
We got into her house and I said,"how's this, you whatever all live next to each other?" She laughed and said, "That's not what I meant but, we'll work on it." She showed me the upper level of her house and the room I stay in.
"Oh hey Emma?"
"Yes?"
"There's a boy at school named Nathan. You should meet him."
"Why do you think that?"
"I don't know, he's nice, like you, so I just thought."
"Oh."
"Some people call him Nate though."
"Nate? That was my crushes name."
"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make you feel bad I'm sorr-"
"It's ok. I'm a little hungry, got any food in this place?"
