"I can't believe your parents actually rented a beach house for us, for the entire summer!" Pheobe gushed as she adjusted her sunglasses.
"I can't believe it either! This is going to be a great summer, I can already feel it." A widespread smile stretched across Saffron's face. smiled to myself from the driver's seat.
"I'm just glad we actually got out of that hell hole," I laughed, "high school can kiss my ass!" I screamed, as my car raced down the highway. A chorus of howls echoed from the two before we burst into fits of laughter.
"How far is the resort?" I asked.
"Just three and a half miles down the next exit, which should be just right around the corner." Pheobe replied, scanning the map in her hands.
"Turn right there." Saffron directed.
"Alright bitches, get ready for one hell of a summer."
-
"Wow." Was the first word all of us could say as we took in the entire resort. Crisp white sand that stretched out for miles, blue waves crashing against the seashore, and the smell of fresh air with a hint of salt engulfing us. The calming vibe was enough to sooth my straining limbs, after the three hour-long drive.
A valet automatically approached us as we were being assisted with our luggage. As we entered the french doors of the resort, I immediately went straight for the front desk to check us in.
"Good Morning miss, and welcome to the Myrtle Beach Resort, how may I help you today?"
"Yes, I would like to check us in. My name's Mallory Sonnen, daughter of Adalhelm Sonnen. He booked us a reservation for a beach house for the entire summer." I stated confidently.
"Yes Ms. Sonnen, let me just type in your reservation." She says with a smile. I looked back at my friends who were seated at the sofas at the center of the lobby. They were taking pictures of everything in site, then typing away on their phones moments after.
"Ms. Sonnen may I please take a look of your voucher?" The desk clerk, caught my attention.
"Yeah, sure." I pulled out the printed paper from my bag and handed it to her. Soon she was typing away on her computer, an anxious expression creeping its way to her facial features.
"Is everything alright?" I asked.
"Um, miss," she visibly gulped, "it seems that your supposed beach house has also been booked by another customer."
"What do you mean our house was double-booked?"
