Chapter 3

"Good morning bitches!" Taemin came in barging into the emergency room lobby. He watched as his co-interns slump against their swivel chairs at their designated desks. It had been three weeks since they had started their internship and by now some of them were already deadly stressed. Present were: Baekhyun, Ren, Jr, and the newlyweds; Daehyun and Youngjae.

Baekhyun rolled his eyes when Taemin came skipping inside the room. What's gotten into this human that got him so hyper? I think he got laid, somewhat.

"Hey there Baekkie. How's it going with the director?" Taemin teased as he sat beside Baekhyun.

"Fuck off. There's nothing "going" with me and that idiot." Baekhyun. Handsome idiot, but there's no way I'm telling him that.

"Uhuh. Too late to deny that Baek. The hospital had gone uproar last week. And, not to mention, it was Park-nim who said you're his wife after all."

"Yah. I thought you're on my side?" Baekhyun glared at Taemin.

"But you guys look so good together." Taemin pouted.

"Together my ass." Baekhyun said as he looked at the files of his patients.

RING!! RING!! RING!!

The alarm went blaring throughout the emergency room, signaling everybody that there was a new patient being brought by the ambulance.

The double-door entrance of the emergency room slammed opened as a couple of medics came wheeling an unconscious man. Taemin, JR and Ren went to the scene rushing.

"This patient was from Seoul General Hospital, they said they were not taking any more patients in and has appointed him to this hospital." One of the medics explained to the interns. He passed the clipboard to Ren and started to push the patient's bed into the emergency room. What bothered Taemin was that Seoul General Hospital was not even half full to begin with, so why did they transfer him to their ward? Ren turned to JR and Taemin and started to enumerate what was written on his file as they walked hurriedly beside the patient.

"It says here that he was caught in an accident and hit his head bad now he is in shock." Ren said after Baekhyun arrived at the seen.

"His blood pressure is 80/50, pulse one hundred and twenty and his respiration rate is twenty". Ren blurted out quickly to Baekhyun and also anded the clipboard with the information about the patient.

"What's this warning on infection?" Baekhyun asked the medics.

"Infection?" the medic looked at Baekhyun. "I'm not sure but he was treated in this hospital before, so please check his record."

Baekhyun turned to JR and asked them to check the patient's record first. Then they immideately rushed the patient to one of the individual rooms. Just then Daehyun and Youngjae rushed over.

"What kind of patient?" Asked Daehyun urgently.

"He has an infection." Replied Ren.

"What?" Daehyun and Youngjae looked shocked. Ren looked frantic and signalled the couple to get away.

JR was searching the hospital's records on the computer as fast as he could. He serched through the older ones and found the file he was looking for.

No way.

JR's eyes widened at what he saw and ran back to the Critical Care Area almost stumbling at everything he passed.
