In 1864 Katherine met these brothers, Damon and Stefan Salvatore. She loved them both. She had them wrapped around her finger for so long, they would slit their throats for her. She loved Stefan the most. Katherine liked to play games with them, they didn't know the rules. There was never any rules to the games Katherine played. Eventually Katherine turned them. Then she left. They thought she died because the Salvatore brothers dad was a vampire hunter and found out Katherine was a vampire. He took her away and put her in a burning church. At least that's what they thought. She turned the guard that was guarding the church because he was obsessed with her. She eventually escaped because he let her. Damon blamed Stefan for Katherine's "death" because Stefan told his dad that all vampires aren't bad. Then his father eventually found out he was talking about Katherine. Damon then promised Stefan an eternity of misery.
