I was brooding in the corner in the common room when Nico came up to me.
'You're not still worrying about Smith, are you?' he asked.
'Nico, I've got dark wizard blood running in my veins and I'm a werewolf! I've pretty much already got murderous monster in my name!' I sighed.
'You're not a monster, Molly! What you have is a gift!' Nico exclaimed and I turned to look at him.
'A gift?!?! Pfft... You can return a gift...' I stood up and walked through the portrait hole. I wasn't about to have "that" discussion.
I heard Nico sigh behind me but he didn't follow me. I headed down to breakfast and noticed many people eyeing me warily and whispering. I gave up on eating my toast and stormed out of the Great Hall.
As soon as I stepped outside I knew something was wrong. People were standing in the corners of the room snickering and the Hufflepuff girl and a few of her friends were standing in the centre.
'Well, hello Black!' she said.
'What do you want?' I growled, but I felt my legs go weak.
'To get a little bit of revenge! And after what we heard yesterday, I'm pretty sure other people will agree! You stole my boyfriend, which I think is evil enough to show that you will turn out like the rest of your family! A murderous Death Eater!' she replied, grinning.
Many people cheered at that but a few looked wary.
'Stole your boyfriend?! I'm not the one who put him under a love potion!' I cried angrily, though a layer of fear was clear in my voice.
With that, she raised her wand.
'IMPEDIMENTA!' she yelled, knocking me back against the wall, then she raised her wand again, 'INCARCEROUS!'
Ropes flew out of her wand and wrapped around my body. I froze, too afraid to even struggle. My blood ran cold and my chest constricted, thoughts of my past racing through my head, too fast to comprehend but enough so that I recognised this scene. She proceeded to carry me out to a place where we were less likely to be caught by teachers. Some of the crowd followed, others stuck behind as lookouts.
'And what's with the scars, huh? It makes you look like a fitting Death Eater!' she cried, once again raising her wand.
I felt blood trickling down the side of my face and knew I was in deep trouble. I struggled to breathe, my heart beating so fast I thought it would burst through my chest.
'SECTUMSEMPRA!' she then yelled, a spell I'd never heard before.
It felt as though swords were slashing through my skin. I looked down to find it looked like swords had slashed through my skin. I screamed, more in fear than pain, when someone came running towards us.
'Snape and McGonagall are coming!' they yelled and everyone ran for it.
When they both arrived, I heard Snape mutter a counter curse as McGonagall took the ropes off.
'Are you okay, Black?' she asked but I didn't respond, 'What happened?'
I opened my mouth to speak, but no sound came out. I was shaking, my eyes wide. McGonagall stretched out a hand to reassure me but I scurried back. I wasn't even focusing on the two teachers in front of me, all I could see was Malfoy Manor and my captors, laughing at me.
'Miss Black, this behaviour is inexcusable! Who did it?' Snape asked in a dangerously low voice.
'I... I...' McGonagall sighed as I sat there, clearly unable to respond.
