Chapter 2: The Truth?

A/N  I'm sorry if there is a lot of conversation in this chapter i will try to keep the other chapters short in conversation.

Today mum woke me up at 8:00! I kinda yelled at her.

''Maya wake up hunny'' mum whispered

''Maya''

''MAYA''

''W..w..what? What time is it?''

''Its 8am''

''WHAT! Why did you get me up so early, i'm going back to sleep''

''No you can't! I have something important to tell you''

''huh? What?''

''actually i will let you sleep for another hour then come up and tell you''

As mum walks back downstairs i can't stop thinking about what she has to tell me. Oh no , what if it is about the letter i found asking if i know anything? What if she tells me she is getting married again, i can't go through that again, surely she knows that. Through the whole hour i can't stop thinking about what she wants to tell me. I didn't get a wink of sleep. I was hoping it was something good to talk about and not something bad like my grades at school coz we all know that is the worst thing to talk about with your parents especially your mum.

A bit later mum comes back up to see that i am awake so she plops herself on my bed.

''Maya darling there is something i need to tell you''

i curl up into a ball and snuggle up with my covers

''Umm..Ok what is it?''

''Well you know that i have been on the phone a lot talking to someone?''

''yea''

''Well that person actually wants to adopt as a sister to make you her family as well''

''what?''

''its hard to explain''

''Oh''

My head is going crazy, what is going on? Do i really have someone who wants to adopt me? As a sister? Do they want to separate me and mum? I'm super confused.

''Mum i'm confused what do you mean they want to adopt me as a sister?"

''Well they want to adopt you to become their family but you will still be in our family.''

I wonder if i should show mum the note i found on the island the other day?

''Mum i have something to show you''

''Ok what is it?''

''Well the other day when i went to get my breakfast i found this note on the table *hands mum the note* and i have been really confused.''

''Oh.. well Zoe is the girl who wants to adopt you''

''OK mum this is getting stupid , I DONT HAVE ANYONE WHO WANTS TO ADOPT ME WHEN I ALREADY HAVE A FAMILY!''

''Maya i'm not lying''

''SURE*does air quotes*, Mum please can you get out of my room''

I think i might have upset mum a bit ,but she seriously woke me up at 8am to tell me about some fake woman who wants to adopt me as her sister!
