I crushed the tenth paper in only a time span of 20 minutes." Come on Brain, come on! Think!" I chanted as I began writing on a new sheet of paper with one hand and the other lightly tapping my head, hoping that answers will miraculously come out.
"15 more minutes to the end of the paper. Those who finished the paper can hand in and go for an early break." my maths teacher Mrs Blakely told the whole class.
One person stood up and handed in his paper and it was none other than the maths genius who scored full marks for all his paper, Chace. "How I wished I had a brain like his" I murmured while trying to finish this test.
"Time's up! Hand in your papers now." "What!" my heart dropped as I did not complete the paper again. I sighed as I handed in the paper." How's the paper Cherlene?" my best friend Maxine asked as she ran up to me." As usual." my head drooped. "It's alright! I'm sure you will do better next time!" Maxine never failed to cheer me up with her sensible words.
As we enteted the hallway, I heard people discussing the answer which I hate the most as it irritated me. I pushed passed people and ditched Maxine behind the crowd and went to the bench behind the school field and broke down." Why can't I just ace maths or just pass. A pass will make me feel much happier!" I screamed.
"Do you really want to pass that badly? I can help you." I jumped as I heard the person's voice. I turned around and saw Chace.
Oh. Did I mentioned that he was my crush too?
