Snail: Jealous?

   Today I am seven weeks old.

That is very old for a snail.

Yesterday, Alfie and I had our first fight :( .

He is still unhappy with our neighbor, Tim.

   My suspicions about Alfie being jealous were confirmed during our fight.

It all started when Tim showed up uninvited.

~Commence flashback~

He began talking to me in a very inappropriate way.

Alfie wasn't happy with that.

   He shook his leaves at him, starting a fight between them.

They wrestled in a weird way, by swinging themselves at each other.

   "Guys stop!" I called, which caused them both to stop.

They both broke apart, turning faint yellow with an ashamed look. 

   Both flowers glared at each other angrily.

   "Boys!" I scolded.

Their heads whipping back at me.

Eyes locking with mine.

"Apologize." I said sternly.

   They slowly looked at each other and fluttered slightly.

   "Thank you. Tim, I think it's best that you leave."

I slithered away, too angry to deal with their stupidity at the moment.

   Tim quickly left, leaving Alfie and I alone.

I slithered back to my lover, very crossly.

   "Alfie! What was that all about?!" I demanded.

   He started shuffling quickly and angrily.

   "Alfie, I don't care what Tim was doing. Your jealous aren't you?!"

-- He nodded--

"I cannot believe you! I would never cheat on you with someone that was continuously flirting with me. I love you Alfie. But I need a break for a few days. Other wise I'll go crazy! I'll see you later."

   I began packing up my things.

   The wind whispered through Alfie's petals.

   "Alfie, I am going.

I'll go to my old home at the hole by your roots.

Try making amends with Tim while I'm gone.

   I then began my trek down his stem.

*~End of Flashback~*

   I love Alfie. I really do.

He can just be extremely jealous at times.

   Tim isn't the best, and should have gone more easily on Alfie.

But it was for the best.

   This cave is really dark and lonely :(

   So I never even thought of this, but I never gave Snail an official gender. I need an opinion. Girl or boy?
This was probably a very important detail I should have added lol. So comment your opinion :)
