There he was again, for the sixth night in a row, there he was.

In another hotel with another woman he pulled from the bar for the sixth night in a row. Trying to forget life all together. He didn't care for the woman whimpering beneath him. He didn't care for how she was moaning his name like that was all she could say. He didn't care what he would feel like in the morning.

In the moment. Right now. Cause in this moment he didn't really need to think about anything besides his pleasure. Really all hes ever cared about.

There she was. In the office again working a late shift. She had to get back to her 2 kids. Caden and Isabelle. Surely they'll be mad at her for staying over time, but she had to if she wanted to keep her job. She worked hard, non stop. Everybody telling her to take a break, her pushing them aside. She  didn't need a break, or so she thought she didn't.

In reality, she was tired out of her wits, and really did need a break, but she thought breaks meant quitting and everybody could tell you she was not a quitter. always handed in her work on time, never late to a meeting, never forgetting the dates. She was one of the best workers any boss could ever have.

(HER)

It was so could out tonight. I never knew it could reach tempatures so low, but yet here I am, holding onto my thin sweater for dear life. Okay maybe that was an exaggeration, but it was still very cold out tonight. The news said tempatures would reach down to about 50s but it was way below.

The wind was blowing rough, almost like it wanted me to blow away. I tried staying on the ground, the wind  pushing me off my feet sometimes. I finally made it to my home. I live in san Francisco. I took my shoes off and hurried upstairs to Cadens room. The door was open a crack, so I peaked my head in. There he was, studying for his exams. He was 16. My little boy, growing up so fast. I knocked and he jumped, then turned around. He smiled when he saw me and ran to hug me. I gladly opened ,y arms and brung him to my embrace.

"I'm so happy you're here mom! ive missed you! and ive gotten an a one the test today!" he cheered. I smiled. He works so hard.

Congragulations, buddy! wheres your sister?" I asked. Well I should call her a boy. She has been going through changes, but I'm all for it.

"isabelle is sleeping. I put her to bed earlier."  I thanked caden and told him we would do something special tomorrow for him, since he got an A.

I quietly walked towards isabelles room. I knocked on her door, then opened it.

"hello isabelle." I smiled. She turned around and smiled at me.

" hey mom! how was work?" she asked cheerily. I smiled down at her and told her it was the usual. she laughed and flopped down on her bed. I sat down beside her. I sighed and laid down with her. She giggled, then I tickled her tummy and she started laughing lots. I finally got up and said good night, heading up to my room to get some sleep. I love my kids.
