3rd P.O.V.

Daniel sat there watching Aria as she slept. Her face looked so peaceful, free of all the worrying she had been burdened with. He sighed thinking about how much has changed. They were the best of friends as kids. And slowly over time, as he'd grown older he recognized that that feeling wasn't just a feeling of affection over his life-long friend. He had learned that this warm feeling in his heart was love.

There wasn't a doubt in his mind about how he felt about her. How his heart raced when she looked at him, how everytime she smiled no matter the situation his whole world lit up and now she's Jacob's. She's having his baby. He took too long to tell the woman he loves how he felt and now she belong's to another. As he moved to pull her hair from her face he slowly brushed his lips against her. At that moment Aria reached up and pulled Daniel close to her pressing their lips together.

Daniel closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around her waist, bringing her to him. They stayed like that for what felt like forever before letting go of each other. Daniel opened his mouth to speak but paused when he saw Aria's now blood red lips pulled into a smirk. He slowly looked up into the cold purple eyes staring back at him. "You know what I find hilarious? That you still love my sister!" Jessica laughed without any humor. Daniels fists clenched and he took a breath. "What are you doing? Put Aria back in control," he demanded.

Jessica rubbed her stomach in an almost lovingly way. "We had a deal, Daniel." He flinched at her tone. "I remember." He said through clenched teeth. Jessica smiled brightly at him,"Then you'll also remember what happens if you don't keep your end of it. You can't let Jean split us." Daniel rubbed his hands down his face. "I know," He muttered. Jessica leaned towards Daniel under her mouth was so close to his lips he could feel her breath,"Then get to sabotaging it. Now."

Jessica slowly faded back to Aria, whose sleeping form fell on top of Daniel. He gulped as he weighed all the options in his head. He'd have to ruin the split... or else.

Jazaline grinned as she sneaked about, following the map from the note she had gotten a few days ago. Going into the dungeons and clenching her nose from the stench she made her way to an underground tunnel holding a woman and a man. "Mother!" She squealed as she unlocked the cell and rushed to the older lady. "Oh hello my baby," The Ex-Queen said as she hugged her daughter. Jazaline's father beamed at the sight of his wife and daughter together. Jazaline turned to him and hugged him tightly.

"I'm sorry I couldn't stay for long last time we met... The guards were looking for me." Jaz muttered. Her father shook his head,"Of course. We were just happy to see you, our beautiful Irina." Princess Irina smiled at her name. "I'm happy to see you too, Papa. We have to find a way to dethrone Caspien and soon." Her parents nodded solemnly as her mother spoke up. "Your father and I think you should be the one to take over the kingdom. You were originally the heir so it only makes since." Irina bit her lip as tears brimmed in her eyes. "I would love nothing more."

Caspien sat at a river bank, throwing water on his face. His lieutenant walked up to him and whispered softly in his ear. "We're ready to head out. And sir the princess left her castle to try and stop her mate. Should we intervene?"  Caspien gave a wicked smile,"No. We have plans for her, remember? Let her come to us." He stood as his lieutenant started barking the orders. He really did love Jessica but over the years he became somewhat infatuated with Aria. Which isn't a fact anyone needs to know. Yet.

Jacob took a deep breath of fresh air and focused. It's been days since they left and they were getting closer to the battleground, he could feel it. "Look at you finally acting like the dog you are." Edward smiled as his brother scoffed. "Don't call me a dog, bloodsucker." They stared hard at each other before laughing. "Like old times, eh?" Edward mused. Jacob nodded,"Yeah... You used to watch me hunt in the castle gardens and tease me." They stood in a comfortable silence for a while. Edward had been feeling better the closer they got to Jazaline... Or as she goes now, Irina.

The brothers had a silent mutual agreement. They didn't talk about either of their mates nor what will happen when this is over. They didn't share how they felt or how much they missed each other. Instead they sat thinking about war in a heavy silence not knowing that the very person they were trying to protect...

The next time they saw her, that would be the last time they saw her alive.
