Vik stared at the paper in his hand with longing in his deep brown eyes. He wanted to get out of this place- even if its just for a few weeks, but he knew that even after he graduated high school his parents wouldn't allow him to leave except when he went off to college. Especially if this is the only description of the trip. He sighed, debating over whether or not to go. He tapped his pencil on the arm of his chair, deep in thought, he didn't hear the bell go off until everyone around him in the auditorium leapt from their seats and rushed to the doors.
Oh shit, I guess I've gotta choose now
He looked at the door leading to the South, behind it the bus that takes him to his house and family.
To the North, lead the hill leading down to the shitty "mall" that held the Subway.
After a few seconds of contemplation, he whipped out his phone and dashed to the North door.
Hey mom, im gonna grab a snack at subway with some friends before coming home, is that ok?
Yes honey, just be home by six for dinner.

Simon and Josh sat in the Subway, stuffing their faces with food like they did everyday at this time, skipping tenth period. When the door swung open, revealing a kid about two years younger than them- but still in their grade, they put down their sandwiches and Josh held up a sheet of paper.
"Are you the one who organized this shit?" Simon asked, food in his mouth. Vik held up the same paper "Uh, no, and I take it neither of you did either."
Josh nodded and dropped the paper, letting it flutter perfectly down to the table directly between him and Simon, who both resumed eating. Vik sat down with the two boys, "We're probably gonna need a bigger table..." Vik sighed as he saw the group of teenagers approaching the door.
"Oh shit, he's here" Vik muttered, staring out at the group.
"Ooh? Is this drama I smell? Tell us," Simon grinned, Josh pausing eating to listen.
"Sorta, see that one in the back? We both skipped the same grade, but he didn't deserve it. He cheated on the tests and I tried to tell, but the teacher didn't believe me because he was so 'sweet' and 'innocent' he couldn't do such a thing. He found out and tormented me all throughout elementary and middle school, but I haven't really seen him since then" Vik whispered.
"How ironic! Josh and I both got held back the same year, but we don't hate each other, do we, buddy?" Simon laughed. Josh chuckled as he ate his sandwich. Vik, still uncomfortable around these people, having never spoken to them in his life, nervously laughed along, but was startled by the door slamming open.
"ALRIGHT LOSERS, LETS GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!"

A/N
Woo guess who finally published the first chapter of a book that was supposed to be published in August? That's right, it was this lazy rat. I wanted to make this chapter a bit longer but I thought that was a good stopping point for an introduction. I don't know when the next chapter will be up, because I won't have a second of free time for almost two weeks at the beginning of this semester. Haha no one reads authors notes but if you happen to be, thank you for reading and please vote/comments! Every comment literally makes my week and helps me make these stories better, so comment any suggestions you have!
