Part 2: The friendly monster

I grew up watching Disney and Pixar movies that contained friendly monsters. The lesson in those movies was always to pay more attention to what was on the outside, not on the inside. Or, in a more cliche way, "do not judge a book by it's cover". This is a very rational quote. I mean, every book I have ever read has been way more interesting once I have actually read it. 

I have met many friendly monsters. Nicotine, alcohol, even sex. But, in the end, they are still monsters. They still take you into the darkness, convincing you to stay with them. Depression is my friendly monster. How could something that makes me feel so horrible be so friendly? Well, depression makes me feel important. It makes me feel like
