The girl turned her head, looking outside at the blue sky in Soul Society where spirits lived and souls that protected this heaven and the Human World resided.

It's been months since her foot touched the outsides of the 4th Division's barracks. It was a miracle that she was even alive after being unpredictably attacked by a strong Hollow in the Rukongai during a mission by herself.

She wasn't weak. She was the Third Seat of the 10th Division, earning that title by working hard and building up her strength, but she was cursed with a weak and fragile heart.

She wasn't meant for battle, but she still used herself to fight enemies and protect those around her. She risked her life to guard and protect people. She was like a hero that no one knew about.

A triple knock along with an "Oi, are you awake?" broke her thoughts. Of course she knew who it was. He only knocked three times and said the same phrase each time he came over.

"Ah! Toshiro, come in!"

Rina looked at the door with a bright smile, but it fell when she saw the bandages wrapped around on Hitsugaya Toshiro's head.

The short white haired Captain came in Rina's personal room. He had a small yellow bag in his hands, shutting the door and sitting on the chair that was always next to her bed.

"You're injured..?" Rina frowned, reaching out to touch the boy's cheek with a worried look. He closed his eyes, the touch was natural and comforting.

"It's nothing to worry about." He said gruffly, "You should be worrying about your own health."

Her eyes brightened, remembering what she really wanted to tell him.

"Toshiro, you know I can walk a little bit now! Yesterday I had therapy with Unohana-taichou and I took a few steps!"

Toshiro gave her a smile, and patted her head.

"I heard, so I came to congratulate you." He told her, holding out the yellow bag to her. "This is for you."

"Me?" Rina clarified, and Toshiro nodded. "Thank you Toshiro!"

"If you don't like it, you can always toss it." He said, placing the bag in her hands. She smiled, humming happily.

"Anything Toshiro gives me, I'll love a lot."

His cheeks darkened in pink, and she giggled, opening the small bag and taking out what was in it.

She awed at the set of two yellow ribbons. She smiled, and gushed about how cute they were.

"Thank you Toshiro! I love them!"

"I-It's Captain Hitsugaya to you..."

"I'll wear them the next time you come over." She giggled at him, "So don't come out of no where okay!"

"Why don't you wear them now?"

"...I can't hold my hands up for long. I want to braid my hair cutely so it can match with the bows!"

"I'll just call Hinamori to help you." Toshiro said bluntly, and Rina shook her head quickly

"It's okay... Don't call her over. It's our time to see each other right now..." Rina said sadly, and Toshiro ruffled her hair.

"Baka, who said right now?" Toshiro mumbled, his cheeks still pink. Rina giggled, looking at the hair accessories again, feeling a wave of happiness wash through again.

A hard knock rang in both Rina and Toshiro's ears, the two of them looking at the door.

"Hanasaki-san, Unohana-taichou would like to see you in her office."

"I'm going to leave then. I have to chase after Matsumoto." Toshiro stood up, and Rina nodded with a smile.

"Okay, see you later Toshiro." She waved.

Toshiro opened the door to see a squad member standing on the side.

"Good morning Hitsugaya-taichou!" The member bowed, and Hitsugaya nodded.

"Good morning."

The squad member went in Rina's room to help her, and he left the 4th Division's barracks, luckily seeing Matsumoto skip past him.

"OI MATSUMOTO!!!"
