Khalil Pov
Since me and Kierra broke up my boys been trying to help me get back on my feet with talking to girls and things like that, I pretty much forgot about those things. Kierra and I were together for so long, but that break up had to be done she was controlling me way too much. I've been hearing that she was with this other dude while she was with me. I confronted her to ask her about it but all she did was start crying and said that my friends don't like her and they don't want her with me. I hugged her and told her that I don't care what my friends have to say about her or what they thought about her. She always avoided that question when it would come up, it would make me so mad but I ignored it because I loved her so much. I knew she wasn't good for me and things weren't that great but I truly didn't want to let her go. My boys always have my back I'm not going to lie, but my girl comes before them. I'm not saying I don't trust them because I knew them before her but I'm not going to break up with her due to what my friends have to say about her but to think about it they really was looking out for me.
I'm at the club right now with my boys, I might as well be at the club myself because I was the only one at our section. I could've went to the dance floor and find someone to dance with but I decided to just watch the people around me. The music was loud around me and if I was feeling right I would have been behind some girl. I really didn't want to be here to be honest, I just want to be in my house far away from this loudness. My boys would ask me why I still wasn't over her. She was decent at times when she wasn't doing anything crazy, that's who I fell in love with. There was times were it seem like she was after my money. I would give her anything she asked for. My father is a lawyer and my mother's a entrepreneur so she had her hand in many businesses. I'm in the process of starting my own business and I'm only twenty-one so I can say I'm pretty well off.
I looked across the room, my eyes sweeping over the many people. There were these two girls that were looking in my direction but I don't know if she was looking at me or pass me. One of them turned to her friend and started talking, then one of her friend got up and pulled her up also and started dragging her in my direction. When they got to my section they sat down in front of me
"Hey I'm Lynda and this is Essa" her friend Lynda said.
Lynda pointed to Essa and said "My friend here was too scared to come up to you so I had to drag her here" she stated smiling and rolling her eyes
Essa looked at her friend gave her a look "I'm Khalil, I'm not so bad so you don't have to be scared" I smiled at her she smiled back at me. She's beautiful; her skin is dark brown her eyes are so bright under these lights like they shined.
"Well khalil it was nice meeting you, have fun Essa" her friend said getting up and leaving us alone.
Essa watched her leave in disbelief but later turn to me "Um, so why are you here alone? Or is your girlfriend somewhere waiting to beat me up" she said. This made me laugh a little cause how cute is that, who starts a conversation like that. Mhm she's interesting...
"No my girlfriend isn't anywhere and I'm not here alone, I'm with my boys who are over there dancing" I said taking a sip of my drink in front of me
"Why aren't you on the dancing, don't have any moves?" She smiled at me
"I was waiting for a beautiful lady like you to keep me company."
"Is that forreal how am I doing" wait I thought she was scared isn't she flirting with me right now guess she isn't scared any more. Okay, what am I going to say to? Should I say something flirty back or try to change the subject? What would the single me do.
