"Um...Uhh... Myra?" I asked, unsureness and hesitance pouring out of me. One can dream, but, hey. I hoped she'd notice.

"What?! What do you want?! Can't you see I'm busy with this crap?!" She spoke, her voice full of vehemence and tiredness from college apps.

"Uh... Sorry. Nevermind. I'll figure it out myself." I answered, meekly.

I want the old Myra back! Hurry up and let her get her shit done already! The fact that she acted better when she was on her t.o.m. before is even sadder. I exhaled, and stared venomously down at the impossible sheet of pure Quadratic-ness. How the fack do I do this? DIE, YOU FACKING SHEET! DIE! I screamed in my head, frustration enveloping me. Now this is what Myra must feel like. Every. Single. Essay. Wowza.

Sighing, I got up to get my daily drugs.

I crept over to the pantry that held them, grabbed the jar, unscrewed the red plastic lid, and then haphazardly grabbed a lollipop after ripping off the troublesome wrapper.

The land of daisies and sugar-high faries was back! The cloying, yet slightly decadent smell of the candy masked the unhealthy amount of sugar it was made of at the same time.

I stopped, then thought for a few seconds. If Myra is feeling as shitty as I did, and it only took me a lollipop to feel better, wouldn't she feel great after one too? I thought, reaching back into the jar for another sweet, smiling gleefully as I did so.

"He-hey. Myra! Here!" I started, tossing it onto her laptop, her face looking bewildered as I did so.    When she saw the lollipop, her face morphed into a series of surprise, adorableness, and gratitude, along with a dash of tiredness. She knew that I understood all you really want and need was a break from all this chaos they call a life.

A little of a life lesson learned here. If frustration is quite a habit, maybe a little candy actually is healthy for you.
