Katie's P. O. V.
The dinner is a silent affair. Mum is speaking to Marie and Pete and she seems to have a lot of fun as compared to me. Because of our little scene, Aaron decides to sit far away from me and sits beside his father, who's right in front of me. Aaron would stare at me sometime when the adults are too busy to even realize that we are there too.
Later, "Mrs Holes this pasta is really good. You are an excellent cook." Aaron speaks after a long silence from him. I look at him as everyone does. I can feel my cheeks burning but I bite my lip to control my blushing. "Sweetheart, I am not an excellent cook. I am just the opposite. It's my daughter you should compliment. She is amazing." My mum giggles as Marie and Pete smile at me when I feel his gaze. I look at him and with that look on his face I thought he would comment something to annoy me but I am shaken by what he said. "Well, Thank you for such a splendid pasta and chicken. You are truly an amazing cook." He smiles genuinely which makes me blush even more.
Looking down at my plate and playing with the fork, I murmur, avoiding eye contact with him "Well, thank you, Aaron." And by that, we went back to the small talks, giggles and etc, etc. The dinner got over soon after as my mother went to the living room with his parents while Aaron went all MIA on me.
Rolling my eyes, I clean the table, grabbing dirty plates and walk towards the sink. It's my time to clean it up. I started my cleaning work but about to wipe them up, a hand grabs the cloth from my hand as I look up to see him. He smiles at me. "Let me help with that, princess."
As shock I am in right now, I just couldn't let him do that. He is a guest and my mother will be really pissed if she sees I am making a guest, work. "No, it's okay."
"Hell, it's not. You make us such amazing pasta and what do we do?" I look at him. Gosh, I am seeing this side of him for the first time. "We leave you to clean the mess alone. Hell, I am let you gonna do it alone."
"But----" He keeps his forefinger on my lips. "Sshh... Let me do it, princess. I want to help." And I couldn't say no to him as I keep getting lost in his mesmerizing eyes. He smirks as he gets on with his work. I smile at this and continue to do mine.
"Well, thank you for helping me," I say as we finish the cleaning. We look at each other. "I never thought that you will do it." "Ya, me neither," he mumbles, trying to make it sound lower so that I couldn't hear. Raising my eyebrows I ask him, "Did you say something?" He looks at me surprised when he just smiles. That smile. That damned smile. Get over it, Katienne Holes. You don't like him. "If you were a vegetable, you'd be a cutecumber."
"Excuse me?" I ask confused.
"It's a game. 'If you/I were'." He answers instantly. He looks nervous but then his body language says otherwise. I nod. "Wanna play the game?" I look at him, at his cute mesmerizing eyes and couldn't help but nod. He smiles "Then it's your turn, princess," I frown at his nickname as we climb the stairs back to my room.
"If I were a bird, you'd be the first person I'd shit on," I state as he chuckles.
"If you were my homework, I'd slam you on the table and do you all night long," He winks as he sits on my bed. I roll my eyes as I sit opposite him on my couch. He smirks.
"Vokay... My turn!" Ignoring his flirty comment, I say as he nods. "If you were stung by a jellyfish, I'd totally pee on you."
"And I would love to see you pee on me!" He winks as I made a face. "Eww." I throw a pillow on him as he catches it and throws it back... on my face. I glare at him as he laughs.
"Okay. My turn. If you were a drug, there wouldn't be a sober vein in my body." He smirks as I stare at him. Silence prevails as we stare at each other. What does he mean by that? I notice him getting up and walking towards me. Cautioned, I started the game to carry on. "If we were on a sinking ship and there's only one life vest ...I would miss you so much." I grin as he chuckles and sits beside me.
