It is August 14, 2014 in Bordeaux, France and it has been two years since the terrorists bombing in New Leaf. Luckily, the explosions never hit the nuclear plants so the town was never fully destroyed, along with the neighboring cities. The town was able to fully build itself up again.
Bright Lights flash, Akiko and I are musicians in an orchestra and we both have a soli together with our friend, Crimson. My friend's dark fur reflects the light and makes them glow and sparkle. The conductor raises his hands, we all sit up ready. I am holding my violin, sitting next to Akiko who has his paws on a harp. To the right of him is Crimson who his holding a clarinet. The conductor starts waving his hands and Akiko gently plucks the string of the harp and creates beautiful music. Crimson joins in playing slow and calm. I join in last stringing my violin. We play in slow and majestic harmony. We soon start getting faster and play the intro of Fire Dance, an energetic piece. The whole orchestra joins in. The strings, brass, and saxophone play energetically while the woodwinds trill. I love music, I love playing it, it's probably the only thing that makes me happy.
-two weeks later-
"What do ya' mean my luggage is still in France?!", I yell at flight attendant.
"We forgot to load your luggage on the plane, sir," she replied in a calm and patient voice, "It will be here tomorrow."
"I can't wait tomorrow my schedule is busy!" I yelled' "My instruments were with my luggage, and I am performing today!"
"Sorry for the inconvenience sir," she replied blankly and smiled.
"Ugh- Screw this shit," I stormed off, with Akiko behind me.
All I had with me was my passport. My wallet was in a coat jacket that is in my luggage. Akiko called a taxi that drove us to a hotel that we have booked to stay in for the next 5 days.
"Do you have a room reserved?", The lady at the front desk asked.
"Yes," Akiko stated.
"Last name?"
"Mooncrest"
"Hmmm... yes here you are," she said looking in her computer, ''Here's your room key, your room is 713."
"Thank you," Akiko smiled.
"Have a nice day," the lady at desk waved as we walked to the elevator.
Why does things always go wrong? I thought. Why can't it be more pleasant like a dream?
