I ignored the text message and took a shower. I laid in my pajamas and fell asleep. I was awakened by small pebbles hitting my window. I looked out my window, Tyrone stood there throwing pebbles at the window. I opened my window and whispered,"What the hell do you want."
"I want to talk to you now open the back door it's freezing," he sighed.
"Well your just going to have to freeze," I replied.
"Come on stop being so stubborn."
I rolled my eyes and walked downstairs. I opened the back door. Tyrone walked in and sat at the table. I have him a blanket and sat down at the table. He explained,"I have to break up with you because I'm leaving the state I'm being accepted to this sweet school in California."
"Can't we do the long distance thing."
"Charisse you know I'm not into that now that'll really end our relationship."
"It's worth a try."
"Charisse I leave in a week and I'm not coming back."
"Tyrone I just got caught that I was dating you but if you're gone and won't raise the suspicion. It'll be a lot better for us," I mentioned.
"See here we go again we can't keep this a secret for the rest of our lives. It's going to end up in the wrong hands and it will be used against us."
"Tyrone just get out of my sight," I grumbled.
"Fine," he sighed and left. I walked to my room and closed my window. I laid in bed and started at the ceiling. I fell asleep eventually. In the morning, I laid there staring at the ceiling. Brandy walked into my room and hugged me. I sat up and hugged her back.
My dad walked in dressed in a suit and tie holding a bouquet of flowers. I checked the time it was late afternoon. "Who's the special lady?" I asked.
"Her name is Alaya James," my dad replied.
"You mean your assistant," I asked.
"Yeah that's the one does anyone think it's hot or is that just me," my dad chuckled nervously.
"Dad are you nervous?"
"Heck yeah, I'm nervous this is the first date I've been on since the divorce."
There goes something else my mother didn't tell me.
"Oh well, you might want to change that suit," I laughed.
He chuckled and went to change his suit. The doorbell rung. I walked to the door. I let Alaya in. She smiled at me and shook my hand. Brandy walked downstairs and shook Alaya's hand. She smiled. I closed the door and let Alaya sit down.

"I've heard so much about you girls and your brother is he around," she asked.
"No he's staying over his girlfriend's house for the weekend," I replied.
"Oh that's too bad I really wanted to meet him," she smiled.
"Yeah so what are you doing," I asked.
"I don't know your dad said it was a surprise I mean we've been together for almost a year now and almost all of our dates have some kind of surprise," she smiled.
"Well I hope you enjoy your night," I said as my dad came downstairs. She smiled and got up. My dad handed her the huge bouquet of roses. She blushed and hugged him. They left and I sat on the couch watching a movie with Brandy. Someone knocked on the door. I opened the door standing there was Erica and Randy.
"What are you guys doing here," I asked.
"Hanging out and helping you babysit," she smiled. Randy and Erica walked in and sat on the couch.
"Hey you're watching Tom and Jerry," Randy smiled and focused on the tv.
"So guess what," Erica smiled.
"What...," I replied.
"I have a baby boy on the way."
"You're pregnant?"
"No silly my sister said she's giving her baby to me."
"That's great but why would she give up her baby?"
"Complicated story but I'm going to have a baby boy after graduation,' she giggled.
"That's great but graduation isn't till we finish this school year and if you have the baby by then you're going to get really stressed did you think this through," I asked.
"Yeah I'm going to get a college degree online and get a job that will work around our schedules," she smiled.
"Ok, maybe you did think this through."
"Well duh I'm not stupid now I'm going to go watch cartoons with them," she hugged me and sat next to Randy.
I grabbed my jacket and shoes and sat on the front porch. I looked through my phone. Someone walked up to me. I looked up standing there was Tyrone. He gave me a note and walked away. I looked at the envelope and read it.
Dear Tyrone,
You've been accepted into UCLA your application really wowed us and we hope you can start early this school year, You are one out of millions of applicants that have been accepted. I hope we'll be able to see you soon.

I sighed. I put the note back in the envelope. Erica walked out and sat next to me. "It's really cold for a summer night," she giggled.
I cried softly."Is everything alright," she asked.
"No," I mouthed. She hugged me. I handed her the note. She looked at me and rocked me back and forth. I sat there crying.
