YOU, ME AND HIM

He made me happy

He made me cry

He made me feel protected and safe

He used to greet me with a smile when I wake

He had always been there for me when I needed someone

He made me feel special that sets me apart from everyone

He had always cheered me up when I was sad

And most of all, he made me feel that I was being loved.

Those were almost the same things that you are doing to me right now

You make me happy

You make me cry

You make me feel protected and safe

You always greet me with a smile on your face

You are always there for me and make me feel so special

You always cheer me up when I am sad

And you are always making me feel that I am being loved.

But there is one thing that sets you two apart

You, as my present and him, as my past

You love me and I, too love you

I loved him but he did not love me the same as you

I would still have chosen him if it wasn’t for you, who came

Now I can say that both of you may be the same

But the only difference is that he left me hanging from the beginning

Luckily you found me somewhere in the middle

And offered to walk with me ‘til there is the end.
