Ever felt your nose being broken, shattered, or have it bleed? I have. Ever felt what it's like to be beaten down on purpose, having to block them from your head and to stay away from being knocked out? I have. Ever thought of doing something Illegal was the only choice? I have and I've made that choice. It isn't pretty to feel like your always being scanned, watched, or feeling like your on the wanted list of the police. I have a brother, Jacob, at the age of 16. He's sort of trying to get a job....for gaming. I support it really but I'm just afraid his payments aren't going to help much with bills and how the house is going.
Feeling my ears ring loudly, I was just starting out boxing and fighting at the age of 17. Im 20 years old now so I've been doing this for 3 years. Of course, when you're trying something and you like it, you try and try to get better. See, I'm a quick learner but fighting didn't seem like my specialty. But I liked the feeling of it, with all the adrenaline rushing through you. It just all feels weird but I liked it. Here's how I started out:
A faint sound of a voice rang out to her, just barely hearing it. The voice sounding a bit worried hut soothing "Amber...."
The ringing in my ears didn't help much but started to fade out. The voice getting louder and clearer "Amber."She groaned and winced, feeling a sharp pain in her ribs. Going to reach for it to hold it tightly, the voice got louder and more worried sounding "Amber!"
Her eyes bolted open, everything being bright. She saw a white ceiling and someone toppled over her, having a worried expression.
"Oh thank God, I was scared you were knocked out from that blow! Look, just stay where you are and don't move. Something looks out of place"Amber sighed knowing where she was. She nodded and quickly having a sharp jabbing pain in her shoulder. The socket went back into place as she winced and closed her eyes tightly
"Holy Jones that hurt""Sorry, it needed to be back in place. But if you're going to box like that then you need to keep your eyes open while they throw a punch. It's the main idea and it'll help with your ability to dodge. With as much bruises and seeming the amount if pain you have right now I think you should-"
"Don't you dare say I should take it easy because I'm not. I can't...not yet anyways"
Amber sat up slowly and leaned against a pole, taking a sip of her water before setting it down. She had a reason to not take it easy since fighting was the most effective way of letting her emotions out like anger. For now, she couldn't control it well if she got angry and went to fighting since it would screw her up. Amber sighed heavily and closed her eyes, holding her side"Amber....you know you can come to me for things right? If you need to talk or let your emotions out then I'm here"
He went to place a hand on her shoulder as she jerked it away slightly
"I don't want your damn help, and nor do I need it. When can we start again?""Fighting?"
He tilted his head a bit confused
"Well what else do you think I mean?""Oh, right. Sorry. Well depending on how much pain it looks like you have and with the new injuries, I say in a couple weeks to another month"
That's when Amber shot her eyes open and looked at him
"Why?! Just because I have injuries doesn't mean i have to wait for-""Yes it does. If you continue to fight for another week or so on that rolled ankle, bruised side, sprained wrist, and that shoulder I just popped in, you'll end up making it worse. So I suggest I bring you home"
Amber huffed and nodded, slowly standing and going into the locker rooms. She went into a stall and got dressed, keeping her milk chocolate-like hair in a ponytail. She came out with her bag and drank more of her water before exiting the gym with her trainer, Aiden. They went to his jet black Corvette Stingray and got in. They rode silently to where there were woods, a driveway, and a cabin there. Aiden let Amber out at the end of the driveway as he rode away once Amber got inside
Her little brother, 11 years old at the time, poked his head out of the kitchen from making some dinner. Macaroni and cheese with some sliced hotdogs in it, burgers still in it's packaging since he didn't know how to cook meat just yet. Amber smiled as Jacob smiled back telling her about his day at school and what happened. Amber made the burgers and finished dinner off with some chips as they got their plates. They sat in the living room, watching Disney Channel and watching a cartoon, Kim Possible since they were doing a rewind of the old shows. She enjoyed it while Jacob on the other hand...didn't appreciate it very much.
As they finished, Amber cleaned up the kitchen as Jacob swept and mopped for her. He saw her new injuries and sighed
"Hey sis?"
"Hm?"
"Why do you keep getting bruises and getting hurt? Are you getting beat up?"
Jacob looked at her a little worried as Amber turned to him with a shake of her head
"No, I'm just learning how to fight and box. It isn't concerning though so...I'm still alive and walking around right?"They laughed as Jacob nodded, yawning
"Now why don't you go to bed? I'll finish cleaning up. You did do your homework right?""Yes ma'am, I did. And I was just thinking of sleeping so I guess I will. See you in the morning Amber"
"You too, now get dressed, brush your teeth, and head on to bed. Love you"
"Love you too sis"
Jacob set the broom down and yawned again, going upstairs, getting dressed, brushing his teeth, and heading into bed. Meanwhile, Amber was cleaning the house up and whatnot, starting to head to bed herself. She took online classes so that was the time she started doing her work and homework. Amber soon fell asleep though when she finished around 2 a.m, barely getting any sleep before being woken up to drop Jacob off at school.
