Adam POV:

"Play brain damage pleeeeeaseeee!" Lucy is doing her puppy dog face and Clare is sitting next to her, eyes alight with excitement.

Those two are way to obsessed with that song. We are sitting around a camp fire in the Smith's backyard. I pick up my guitar and the orange light reflects off it's surface. I start strumming the chords of Pink Floyd's  'Brain Damage'. When I get to the lyrics Clare starts singing. Neither me or Lucy can sing so she does all he singing. The only reason I started learning the guitar was so I could play while she sings, Lucy isn't exactly musical and gave up trying to learn the guitar after two weeks.

I hear a piano playing behind me so I turn around and see we are in a church. Well Clare and I am anyway. I'm older now and at the front of the church I see a coffin covered in Lucy's favorite flowers. Tears start to spill down my face. She was like a sister to me too. I will miss her for the rest of my life.

I sit up with a start. It was nice seeing those two again even if it was in a dream. It's weird, I'm usually not a very emotional person. I usually prefer logic over emotion, but those two meant so much to me.

I start to smell smoke and notice that Gandalf is smoking a pipe. Doesn't he know that is bad for his health? Violet is pulling some sparkly gold daggers out of the wall and James is still asleep.

It has been three days since we arrived here. We get meals 3 times a day and one of the doors leads to a bathroom. It took me a while to get used to being this high up, but I think i might be getting over my whole fear of heights thing. I wonder if they will ever let us go. I keep trying to come up with some logical reason as to why they have us here.  If they wanted to study us they would probably have to put some variables in, but there doesn't seem to be any. Maybe the others have to rescue us or something.

Maybe we are just being held captive. Maybe they thing we are of some importance. It would make sense since we all seem to have some kind of powers. But then, if they thought we were valuable why only take us. Surely there are other characters from these books that might be worth something as well.

Or Maybe, just maybe I'm over analyzing this. I do that sometimes...

The door on the left of the window starts to open. This is the first time it has opened since we got here. I believe this is the door that might let us out. Hopefully it isn't just another bathroom. James is awake now and is staring at the door like the rest of us.

A woman who appears to be in her late 30s walks through the door. She is wearing a grey suit and has her brown hair pulled tightly back into a ponytail.

"Follow me, please" she says and I notice that there is very little emotion in her voice.

Gandalf is the first to follow her, probably because he isn't as stubborn as the rest of us.  Once he reaches the door that the woman just walked out of of he looks back at the rest of us who are still sitting/ standing where we were. Violet and James look skeptical about the whole thing. I have learnt a lot about these three over the past couple of days and one of those things was that both violet and James think the old wizard, who apparently came from somewhere called middle Earth, Is crazy.

I get up off the bed that I have been sleeping on for the last tree days and walk towards the door after Gandalf and the woman because I can see no logical point in staying here. It isn't going to get us anywhere and we won't learn anything from just sitting around. James gets up now too and Violet follows him, I think they came to the same or similar conclusions as I did. Plus, Violet has been wanting to get out of that room badly. She has been throwing knives and throwing-stars around a lot.

Going through the door we enter a long white corridor that is empty of any pictures or decoration at all. There are four door on the right hand side and one at the end. They are all just a white as the walls and the roof and even the carpet. So far since coming here the only color I have seen have been ourselves and our clothes, that have started to smell quite bad.

"You will each walk through one of the doors" says the woman. I notice that her eyes are grey like her suit. There really isn't much color or life to her at all. Although her grey suit is probably he most colorful thing I have seen in this city.

James approaches the far door and walks through. Gandalf does the same with the next door, I notice he is still carrying his staff with him, he seems to carry it everywhere.

"I don't like being told what to do" Violet complains.

"I would suggest to do as she says" I say. she does't look happy but she goes through the door anyway. I then approach my door and with one last look at the lady whose face remains expressionless, I walk through the door.
