She had gotten up and was looking around. Not knowing anything how preparing a meal went on this planet. She went to the only source of knowledge she had, Justin. Standing right in front of him, she reached out for his hand. She had noticed how she could see in his mind if she wanted to. But this was in a way asking for his approval. Slowly he gave in and their hands touched.

She saw how Justin had eaten cruelty food all his life and it was a very common thing among humans. She was disgusted and kinda disappointed but didn't judge him. She smiled and let go of his hand. She opened the freezer and took out some frozen bananas, Justin had frozen some for his protein shakes. Along with some frozen berries. Putting them on the contour-top. She went back to Justin and took a hold of his hand again. Justin was kinda weirded out but said nothing.

She opened the fridge and saw the most of the things weren't cruelty-free. She took out a carton of almond milk, by the moments she was becoming unsure if she could do this. Looking with sad eyes at Justin, he immediately came. "Do you want me to help?" She nodded.

Taking hold of his hand as she looked for the name of the device. "Blend-ing machine." She said smiling and pointed at the things she had put out. He understood her gestures. After he had put all the ingredients in, as he was about to put the almond milk, Acacia interrupted and said; "Just a little." Justin laughed lightly, he had almost forgotten she was an alien. She was very human-like and within only an hour she seemed to know so much. He was surprised but it was still creepy.

When all the ingredients were mixed and had turned into a thick smoothie, Justin turned off the machine. Acacia climbed on to the countertop and opened the cupboard, taking out two bowls. Justin saw what she was doing, he hurried over to her and helped her down. As Justin poured the thick smoothie into the two white blows, Acacia came with a packet of cocoa powder. Justin just looked weirdly at her for a second before taking it and lightly dusting it onto the smoothies. She was already back in her seat waiting for the smoothie. Her excitement clearly showing.

Justin chuckled lightly before placing the smoothie in front of her. She dug right in, loving the fruity test. Justin just looked at her as she eats, he in a way found it adorable.

"I have to get going," Justin said entering his living room. Acacia's eyes widened, what if those men came again. She ran up to him, hugging him tightly.

Justin stumbled back a bit, hesitant hugging her back. He knew she wanted him to stay, but work comes first. Her silent snobs making him think twice. "No go," she said in between sobs. "It's only for a few hours, I'll be back." He said in a calm tone. He felt this home feeling around her, even though she's a complete stranger.

Ever since the moment, he found her, it had been hard to stay away from her. She was like a magnet pulling him in. Which scared him. "You can stay here and watch a few movies, it might help you in learning English," Justin said as he sat her down on the sofa. After he had shown her how to use Netflix, he was out the door.

While driving he couldn't help but think about if she was dangerous. For god's sake, she's an alien but she seemed so innocent, so lost. She looked so young and behaved younger, maybe she was younger but didn't look like- what do I know about how aliens age. But she looked so human, aren't aliens supposed to be like a whole new species. For the moment all he could do was hypothesize, I really need to ask her about everything when I get back, He thought as he parked his car.

He still had this feeling of guilt in his stomach for leaving Acacia alone, he sighed as he hung his head above the steering wheel. Getting his phone out as he dialed his niece.

"Heyyy uncle Justin, what a surprise." Bea's excited voice said through the speaker. " Yah hey, listen I need a favor," he said running his hand throw his hair.

"mmh depends, what is it?"

"Can you like.. babysit someone," she gasped. "Since when do you have a child?" "No no, it's not a kid... it's a- girl," she gasped again. "

did-"

"Let me finish," he cut her off. "She's someone I had to babysit, but I have to go to work so can you pretty please go to my place and give her some company."

"You do know, I'm not going to do it if you don't pay me."

"I know, I'll give you 30 bucks. Deal?"

"Deal."

"And Bea don't talk to her too much, she a bit emotional. Scratch that, don't talk to her at all, just say you know me and that I sent you."

"geez, so controlling. Something else?"

"no, that's it, call me if something happens." with that, he hung up.

With relief he got his files and got out of his car, going towards the entrance, he was hosting a meeting today for the new model of a car that the company was coming out with. Him being the marketer, traveled a lot and earn a lot as well. But he was a sucker for vintage cars, he even has a huge collection of cars, a few new and a lot of vintage ones. You could say they were his most prized possessions.

Acacia sat on the couch watching a movie but couldn't concentrate and was looking at the door every five seconds, hoping Justin would come. She didn't like the loneliness she felt, the lack of communication led her to her thoughts, as she went deeper and deeper, not being able to hold her tears in as they ran down her cheeks.

She had lost the only family she had, she felt guilty that she had felt happiness even though it was only for a few moments. She felt as if he had disrespected her father. Putting her head down on her knees as she tilted her head towards the television and tried to get rid of the empty feeling in her heart.

For an hour or so she looked blankly at the screen not paying any attention. Her head lifted as she heard faint footsteps, the sound of the footsteps very different from Justin's. They were much lighter but still foreign.

Acacia got up as panic crept up on her. She ran down the hall to the room she had slept in and closed the door. She looked around trying to find a place to hide but the room was very minimalist with only the bed and a glass desk. As she heard the click of the lock, she quickly got under the bed, being her only option.

The calmness she had felt before was gone making it hard for her to hear and see, her vision was getting blurry and different colors were flickering making her dizzy. She closed her eyes and let her head rest on the wooden floor. She could hear the footsteps but they were being blocked because of how many other noises she could hear, she couldn't pinpoint anything to its source.

Acacias head shot up all of the sudden, there was momentum in front of her face. Someone had lifted the comforter that was hanging down and hiding her from view.

"So.. w- yo- okay so tell me why you are hiding under the bed."
