^~*~^

I heard an annoying beeping that didn't go away, and I knew. It's time to wake up...

School doesn't start in 8:30, but I like to take my time.
I quickly sprung up from bed and began to get ready for the day.
I can't wait to see Christelle, Lucie and Antoine. It's been so long. Christelle, Lucie and I never stopped sending letters, or texting ever since I left.
One day, Antoine stopped sending me anything, but today is the day that I'll finally get to see them once again!
After I showered, brushed my teeth and got dressed, it was already 6:27. I head downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning!" I cheered as I sat down to a plate full of food already waiting for me. "Look who's so energetic in the morning, good morning to you too, May." Papa responded back as he began to fill up another plate of food.
Caught up in my muffin, I didn't notice my little sister come downstairs. "Good morning Amarante, good morning Papa." She greeted us.
I lifted my head to see her face and quickly became concerned.
"Belle, are you okay?" I asked as I pulled out the seat for her.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just a little dizzy." She tried to hide her sickly voice, then sneezed.
"No, you're not," I demanded, "I'm going to take your temperature so wait right there and don't start getting ready."
When I came back with the thermometer and took her temperature, I nearly jumped.
"What's wrong?" My father tried taking a peak at the tiny screen.
"...103°...?! Belle, you have to stay home today." I got up from my chair. "But May, I want to go to-"
"-To nowhere. You're not going anywhere and you're staying home with me today. Listen to your sister." Papa cut her off and took things a little too seriously.
Belle's expression turned into one of disappointment. I feel responsible for it.
"You know what? Let me make you your favorite soup, I know that will make you feel better faster than you know it. How about it?" I smiled towards her as I began to put on an apron.
"Thanks May, I would like that." She answered as my father began to help her upstairs.
"Papa, you can put her up in my room, I know she'll feel more comfortable there!" I shouted up the steps.
Before we moved into this house, Belle would still sleep in the same bed as me. She slept with me in the same bed ever since Mama passed away, but now Papa is making her sleep in her own room.
Anyways, I better get started! I want this to be one of the best soups I've made for Belle!
By the time my father came downstairs from helping my sister get cozy and rested, I finished cooking. It was 7:43. "I can take the soup to her, May."
"It's okay Papa, I want to say good bye to her while I'm at it." I answered as I carefully walked up the steps and through my bedroom door.
"Thank you, I appreciate it." Belle sat up and took the bowl as I fixed her pillows for her.
"It's no problem at all, I'm going to head out now though, so get well rested. Ciao~" I leaned down, kissed her forehead and headed back downstairs.
Papa was doing the dishes. "I can help you out with them, I insist." I said as I took one of the bowls from the sink.
"It's okay May, you should start heading to school now, it's already 8:09."
"WHAT?! Oh no, and I still have to walk to school. I'm taking 2 muffins with me, wish me luck today!" I said as I grabbed my coat, scarf and shoes while I began to head out the door.
"Good luck, be safe out there!" Papa smiled as he waved good bye.
