~June 25th 2009 was undoubtedly the worst day in history for me.All of my emotions raked to the surface and I felt totally empty inside.It was only like yesterday that my thoughts were on how much time was left before leaving for the"This is it "concerts in London.Thinking how fortunate I'd been to get tickets from my friend Kiara, who'd purchased them with the full intent of going herself but had to sell them for issues that's best kept nameless.How great it would be to also use this time to visit her,being that the last time we'd seen each other was at our college graduation.Right before she left to start an internship with Scotland yard.After graduation,I'd settled into a small accounting firm in New York right before my wedding.She wasn't even able to come to my wedding to my college sweetheart Jeremy. Not to say that this was a tragedy since she and Jeremy didn't get along.....they were like oil and water.Jeremy always referred to her as my shadow because she was always around  and he thought she was whispering negative things about him in my ear.He swore she wanted me all to herself.But I'd told him that she's only a friend and that was all.Thinking back to that day and where I was......(Flashback,Jade's memory).My cell buzzes on my hip.I quickly answer to Jeremy's sweet voice,what happened to you this morning?I say"Jeez love,forgot to mention that I had to come in early so I could tie up some loose ends before our flight tonight,I didn't want to wake you love.You looked so peaceful sleeping"."You know how I hate to wake without you here,big Jeremy was looking hard for you this morning..you know how persistent he is.Lowering my voice and curling a smile on my lips I say"Well we'll have to take care of him when I get home,hold him tight".Sliding his hand under the covers to stroke himself,he chuckles and says,"Alright love,hurry home,bye". Hanging up,I already know that Jeremy has started without me and I'll have to punish him later for this.I smile in anticipation,thinking of how will I make him suffer.But first I must get back to the situation at hand.Taking a sip of coffee,I'm checking my email when I see a message from Kiara. Quickly opening it,it reads.....Jade love what's going on with the news there,what's wrong with Michael Jackson.News reports here has him in the hospital.What do your mean..hospital?Why would he be in the hospital,he's getting ready to go on tour.Hold on,let me check the internet.I'd only logged on to check my messages and nothing more before your call.Quickly I log into google and type his name as Kiara frantically goes on about how she couldn't believe her ears when she heard of it over her telly as she prepared food.Large titles pop up all over my monitor's screen...Michael Jackson rushed to hospital,Pop star Possible Heart Attack,Michael Jackson..is the elusive singer in a coma?My mouth drops in disbelief and my eyes blur with tears.What has happened?? Immediately grabbing my rosary I start to pray silently. Kiara stops talking and asks,Are you still there,what have you found out,how is he,what have you read??? It 's written here that he's been transported to the Los Angeles hospital and that he's presently in a coma.Trying to allow a clearer head to prevail,I take a deep breath and say "Kiara you always work yourself up so easily,this may be just another  hoax.Until there's an official announcement I'll believe Michael's still making arrangements to leave for his tour.Don't you remember we've been here before,our angel is okay....okay.I'll call you just as we're boarding this tonight love,talk to you then.Hanging up I grab my rosary a little tighter and turn my attention back to quickly finishing tasks.I then head home to confront Jeremy and finish packing.After stepping inside my door I'm greeted by Chaos,my dog,who nudges my leg with her nose,whimpers and walks to the front door.I shout," Jeremy did you walk Chaos this morning?" No babe, could you please since you're already up, I'm still weak. Looking into my pup's eyes I can't resist.Grabbing his leash, I clip it to his collar  and say "Come on friend, let's do this quickly, Mommy has a lot to do today". Walking out into the brisk air Chaos tugs the leash a little, always the anxious pup. As Jade walks,she thinks of Michael and how much she's always adored him. The first time I'd seen his big brown eyes,the first time heard him sing and that concert I attended with Kiara when I'd been pulled on stage to dance with him. Remembering the adrenalin flowing through my body from it causes me to gasp. Michael danced with me, twirled me and pulled me into him for an embrace. This is when it happened,a strong electric surge,a sharp flash of memory from a time before. I felt as if I was home in his arms. Reluctantly he releases me to watch as I was slowly being led away by security. Suddenly I feel the rush of wind ample up my leg breaking my memory. Then a soft,light brush against my cheek. Chaos is barking frantically, spinning in circles as if to attack the wind.In that moment I'm over-swept with a sense of comfort,calmness somehow.I stop to slowly look around,but noone's there.I'm alone except for my yelping pup and the wind whirling against my body.Gently tugging Chaos leash to calm her,I say come on girl,nothing's there.....let's go home.
