8 March 1702

"Must I ask my dearest friend your dire opinion of this dress, for I know it must be so hard to keep?"

I glance at her examining her gold and blue gown that had its lower part designed to its full elegance. If I may say she looks rather unhappy with it also. Knowing I would not like such elegance, she would toy with me and sometimes would pressure me into wearing some of her clothing. I don't understand the thrill she obtains through my uneasiness. I guess I must prepare for more onslaught of clothing, being friends with a soon-to-be queen is so demanding at times.

"Laurenza do you hear me dear?" Oh God forbid that name.

"Anne, for the last bloody time stop it with those ridiculous names!" I say with much frustrations lacing through my voice.

"Aye my dear if you have been listening to me than such names are not needed be, Laurenza." she smirks while I grimace once again. How is this woman to be queen? How is this woman even my friend? So childish.

I sigh as I look at her reflection through the mirror while she fixes her make-up. Today she ascends the throne after her sister's husband's death King William III and as much as the land mourns for a great man this lady here hath no qualms whatsoever, in her words "He was a jerk anyways" Ah good ol' Anne.

"You look lovely Your Highness" I say receiving a genuine smile not knowing t'was the last time I would see such sincerity from her face.

I look out the glass window at the far left of the room seeing that there was no sunlight coming through its transparency however focusing more to it I see droplets of water slowly making its way down to the edges, Rain.

Rain.

"Jauregui!" Rain.

"Jauregui!!" I snap back to reality glancing at the woman in front of the room, looking around seeing all eyes are on me. I raise my eyebrow at the teacher and see her visibly gulp, was I that scary?

"Yes?" My voice coming out monotone.

"Uh would uh would you please pay attention." I smile at her stutter but I ignore her plea as I glance back at the window seeing the droplets slowly descending reminding me of my past. I looked at the teacher again now studying her look. Blonde hair up in a messy bun, glasses perched on her nose, a white button up and a black tight skirt. Typical. Sensing her discomfort from my gaze I gave her a curt nod allowing her to proceed with the lesson. Math, how many times must I encounter you in my life?

"For the rest of your immortality I guess" I hear in my head, this woman never respect anyones privacy.

"Get out of my head Samantha!" I growl lowly at her, she knows no barriers.

"Alright Laurenza, just reminding you we need to be at the mansion today that's all" I groan at the name, why? Just why?

As I was about to reply the bell rung signaling the end of class and the teacher giving out last minute assignments. I drown them all out as I dashed out of the classroom deciding on skipping the rest of the day.

"Oy Millwal!"

I turn my head around with the most childish like smile I could muster, seeing my best friend after like three months of her being away due to her family going on a long ess vacation. I missed her crazy antics.
