The Angels: The Dawn of an Angel

Chapter SEVEN

I was waiting in my room wearing my undergarments. Lauren already put my face some make up. After that she left me in my room to get my dress. While I was a little nervous because it is my first time to see many Angels. Also, it is my first time to attend to this ball. I went to my laptop and check Elsa. It's been a month after I chatted her. She must be angry. When I saw tons of messages, I right away reply. I said sorry for not replying soon. My reason why I am late and promising to talk to her.

While sending Elsa a message, Lauren went back to my room and gave me my clothes. It was a white, knee above dress. Then, the hem was colored in blue that made it looked like a fire. I go to my dressing room, and wear the dress.

"How can I keep my weapons wearing this?" I asked while putting my dress on. "A coat will be paired to your short dress. It will make it look like a long back." she gave me a long white coat. When I looked at the shoulder of the coat, it has gems on it that make it sparkle. "This where you can store your weapons. Beside our weapons are lighter like you won't remember you have weapons inside." She gave me white heels with feathers and gems. When I went out, Lauren was smiling. "I'll fixed your hair" she made my hair a bun, and in the sides where braids. The purpose of the braid will be wrap around the bun and secure it with bobby pins. While she was doing that, I could feel her tiny hands gently fixing my hair. Her gracefulness is still evident when she move or do stuffs.

When she was done, she put some white small diamonds all over my hair. "What's that for?" I asked her politely. "That is a symbol when an angel is attending the Angel's Ball for the first time." After fixing my hair, she put her hand on my shoulder and let me looked at myself a little. "So Edward got white diamonds all over his head on his first time attending the ball." She laughed. "No, for guys they put it on their tie or coat." She clean my shoulders and straighten it. "Ready to go?" I nod slowly. I stood up from the chair. I grab my phone and let Lauren lead the way. I was little careful to not step on her dress. Her dress has a long tail. Her style was almost identical to mine, long coat with dress. Only different is the length. I wore almost below the knee while she wear a short dress. Her coat was longer than mine was.

When we are in the balcony of the hallway, I could see everyone holding mask. I also notice that everyone is wearing white and gold. Cindy's dress look stunning. Angeline look like a queen. "Why everyone is wearing a mask?" I asked whispering. "You'll know." She gave me my mask and started to walk downstairs.

Edward already escorted me. I wrapped my arm into his. His arms were firm and strong. Letting me feel all right when I hold him. "You look stunning." He whispered. "Thank you." I said it with a little smile.

When we are all outside, Edward run towards the black sedan. He opened the door of the car and wait. I said thank and entered the car. He entered the car after I did, and opened the engine of the car. We were quiet inside the car. "So" I broke the silence.

"So, are you ready to meet someone?" he laughed. "Come on brother, you are handsome, kind, smart, and gentleman. What's the problem with that." He chuckled. "If a girl turn you down, I will kill it. That's illegal right?" he shook his head and laughed louder.

"Yes it is illegal. You should read the rulebook sometime."

"Then I'll just scare her away. Just for tonight."

"Okay, fine but it's not that simple. Angels have a huge ego. Especially girls."

"No pressure ok." Our phones buzzed at the same time. I checked it what is it. Charlie texted us that we are almost there, and send us the password. "Password?" I slide upwards the phone. "What is the password?"

"Durante Paternoster"

"He is the birthday celebrant." Edward murmur. "What if I do not find the right girl for me?"

"Have faith brother, have faith." He chuckled. "I am not used to you calling me brother." I chuckled. "Me too, anyways just for the night. You know what I feel. You were like my twin brother. We are in a same age but different birthday."

"Wrong" he said it confidently. "I am 100 years old sister; my birthday is June 23, 1916"

"As a human you are 16" he chuckled. "Okay, you get me." our phone buzzed once again. I read the message. "We are here." I looked around. I saw an old abandoned mansion. "Maybe that's the one," I pointed at him. "Every year they change the venue. Now we are in the Casa Venus. The most beautiful mansion that was owned by the council."

"I can't see the beauty"

"Any minute now. Take a look closer." When I stare at the mansion, it suddenly changed. A spark around it was created. Little by little the mansion changes. The pillars with vines around it changed into pillars with gold and diamond. The gate turn into gold. Everything went magical. The horrified mansion turned into a magical mansion. "Wow, how can they do that?"

"Spells, Lauren is like them. Angels that can cast spells. She is sort of one of the rare people. No one can resist the strong powers of the spells."

"Cool" the gate swung opened. Charlie's car went in first and the rest followed. We parked it in the side of the mansion. "Are you ready?" he asked.

"Yes I am." He went out first and walk around his car to open my door. When he opened the door, he reached his hand to me. I grabbed his hand, and went out from the car. "Wear your mask," he whisper. Therefore, I put my mask on. "Good" he gave the keys to the valet and stand next to me. I took a grip on his arm and walk. A tall and thin guy with small, bright green eyes and with a greasy black hair blocked us from getting in. Charlie and the rest was already inside. "Password" he seemed French based on his accent. "Durante Paternoster" the guy nodded to the other men to open the door.
