When we get home I crawl into bed. I lay there for a while thinking about the record deal and how much I have to work for it. I turn over to wrap my arms around something and realise just then that there is nothing there. I must have been trying to grab Jamie.
I start crying because I have no one left to hold at night and keep me warm till morning.
Laura hears me crying.
"oh Alex, whats wrong now?" she huffed and came to the bed and comforted me through the night.

"get up Alex come on! its 2 pm!" Laura demanded.
"no Saturdays is when we used to go out the club or have dinner, I'm not moving"
"get up Alex! Fuck Jamie she gone now, you cant let her ruin your life. remember our little chat?!" she howled
"yes I do"
"exactly now get your ass out of bed and go write some songs and become famous"
"but its not that eas-"
" I said go you tramp!"
So I did. I got out of bed and got dressed. I walked to the music room and sat down at the piano thinking and thinking.
Suddenly I got a phone call, its Gary.
" Ive got news for you" he informed before I even got a chance to say hello.
"Ok good after noon to you too. Whats the news?"
"A group that makes music want you to write a piece for them. They loved your voice and they want to put some music to it!"
"Whoa, this is brilliant! Who are they?"
"Their name is 'Road 95'. So youre in?"
"Yeah for sure! Ill have recording for you by Tuesday."
"That's great Alex! See you then"
I turn around with excitement and get such a shock.
"Hey what was that all about?" Laura questioned me as she grinned.
"Jesus Laura don't do that to me" I snapped
"It was Gary. A group called 'Road 95' wants me to write a piece form them to put on a track."
"That's great!" she screamed.
She gives me a big hug and brakes out the champagne.
