The school bell rings ending first period. I see my girl friend Cierra. I rush over to her, pushing my way through the crowded hallways. "Hey I have to tell you something" I say. She closes her locker and turns around, whipping her long hair in my face. "What's up buttercup!?" She says enthusiastically. "Well, me and my gramps are getting evicted. We're moving to the country." "WHAT!!!?" She yells. Bringing almost everyone's attention to us. "Shut up!" I tell her. I cover my face and we walk to the bathroom. "I'm gonna miss you" she whines. I see her lip tremble as a tear slides down her cheek. She starts sobbing and throws her arms around me. She kisses me and asks, "does this mean that we are breaking up?" It breaks my heart to say it but she knows I don't do long distance relationships. " Yeah I guess it does" I tell her as my eyes fill with tears. I hold them back because I know if I cry it will only make things worse. "It will be okay, I'll come visit", I reassure her. "She wipes her nose and says, "okay", head hanging low. I kiss her one last time. And walk out of the bathroom. I finish the rest of the day without saying a single word. When I get home grandpa says to finish packing because we have to leave tommarrow. I go to my room, close the door, and plop onto my bed. I didn't realize it, but I feel asleep for the rest of the day and all night. I woke up the next morning, glad I packed all my stuff ahead of time, and on we went. I put my stuff in the moving van except I kept one bag that had, a blanket, pillow, my laptop, my phone charger, and a few snacks in it. I sit in the back seat so I can lay down and sleep on the way. I reach in to my pocket and grab my phone. I have a notification from Facebook. I look at it. It says Cierra changed her relationship status to single. I throw my phone onto the floor board, grab my pillow and blanket and I close my eyes.
