Bianca's POV
The raindrops touched the edges of my umbrella as I tugged the corners of my mouth into a cheeky smile.
I spotted a cheerful spirt waltz over.
"Maya!" I grinned widely.
She ran over to embrace me into a bear hug.
Out in the distance was Alice and Jason.
Jason not bothering to carry an umbrella had his golden blonde hair sulking down to a dark brown from the rain.
He gave me a gentle smile. Making my face immediately warm up.
"Bianca it's so nice to see you." Alice was the first to say. She offered a hand and I shook it.
Jason pulled me into his arms and laughed as my body tensed at the sudden action. Out of surprise I dropped my umbrella and chuckled as the water soaked my hair.
I saw Maya cringed at this and I quickly backed away.
I noticed the faint bit of hurt in both Maya and Jason's eyes.
I cleared my throat.
I knew how much Maya liked Jason. Her eyes twinkled in delight when she saw him. But she was so good at hiding it.
If I wasn't her best friend I would look at her and see her as the girl who rolls her eyes at every one of Jason's jokes.
"Maya." Jason gave her a little head nod.
"Took you long enough, you basically modeled your way over here as Bianca practically gaped at you." She playfully punched his arm.
"You obviously didn't lose your sense of humor over the summer." He grinned at her.
"Um guys not to interrupt your little get together but could we go inside Jason is soaked!" Alice butted in.
"You're not my mom Alice." Jason rolled his eyes before trudging into the cafe.
I spotted Alice give me a glare then linked her arm around Maya.
Maya then grabbed me and laughed so I could join them as we walked into the cafe.
"Hi yes may I have a coconut skim milk latte low on foam not too hot." Alice said quite specifically.
"I'll just have a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream." Maya gave the cashier a warm smile.
"Make that two." I spoke up.
The door of the bathroom sprang open and out came Jason in a fresh shirt and a pair of jeans. He carried a plastic bag of wet clothing.
Do boys always carry an extra pair of clothing?
His hair returned to its original color and the little droplets clung to his flyaway making it hard to ignore.
He ran a hand through his thick swirls.
I rolled my eyes.
Great I love it when people pull a Jacob Satorious action, quite original.
"Make it three." He finally said not being able to take his eyes off me.
