"Ryder."

"Kitten."

"Ryder."

"Kitten."

"Ryder."

"Kitten."

This has been going on for nearly half an hour now and nobody seemed keen on stopping anytime soon. There was determination burning in both of our eyes. We both looked at each other, nobody daring to lose eye contact first.

"But you promised!" I whined like a little child, while crossing my arms over my chest.

"I never promised you anything," Ryder replied, also crossing his arms making his muscles bulge out.

"But you implied it."

"Don't remember implying it in any way," he raised his eyebrow at me, challenging me to disagree with him.

"You said that you love me!" I reminded him.

"What's that got to do with anything?"

He was really pushing my buttons. Did he really not understand? After a week of torturing Ryder and pretending to be mad at him, I finally caved and forgave him. To say he was overjoyed was an understatement. But I think it's mostly because he didn't have to endure being my slave anymore. Trust me when I say that he did not enjoy being called Rydie, being bossed around by me and following me like a lost puppy in school in front of everybody. Apparently, it totally ruined his 'bad boy' image. Oh please, like he was a bad boy to begin with. He's such a softie.

"Because love is caring and sharing is caring," I explained to him.

"I had the cookie first, therefore I will eat it. It's only fair."

"But I saw it first!"

We were arguing who will get the last chocolate chip cookie that was lying on the white plate, on the kitchen counter. Call me crazy, but I ain't giving my food away to anyone when I saw it first. Especially when it's in my house. It makes it automatically mine, but Ryder wasn't having any of it. He was being a stubborn little boy and wanted the last cookie since 'he was a guest', his words not mine.

"If it's such a big deal, why don't you go to the shop and get some more?"

"That's an excellent question, Rydie. Why don't you?" I gave him an innocent smile.

I got a flat look in return, probably for calling him Rydie, I sniggered to myself. I decided that I have to bring out the big guns if I was to be crowned the Receiver of The Last Cookie in The Miller Household.

"Look! What's that?" I pointed out the window behind him, hoping he'll fall for my trap. While he was distracted, I quickly took the cookie off the plate. I smiled in victory and was about to put the cookie in my mouth when Ryder's hand on my wrist stopped me. Sweet niblets! And it was all going so well.

"But Kitten, I do care. I really do. If I didn't, would I do this?" He gave me a quick peck on my cheek. My eyes widened considerably and I tensed. During my moment of shock, he took the opportunity to take the cookie out of my hand.

I gasped. "That's cheating! You can't do that!"

"Too bad, I did. We can't all get what we want," he said while smirking, holding the cookie in his hand. He was mocking me, no, more like taunting me. The cookie was pretty much calling out to me.

Oh no, he doesn't! If he wants a kitten, Chloe Miller will give him a kitten. And she comes with claws. I rushed over to his side and swung my arms around his neck. I looked into his beautiful eyes, that were a whirlwind of emotions.

"Please," I pouted.

"No."

"For me?"

"Nope," he replied while popping the p.

I wanted to scowl. Or hit him in the head with a spatula. Or with a pillow. Or with a pillow taped on to a spatula. But that would ruin my plan, so I refrained. I made big puppy dog eyes, praying that he'll stop being a donkey and give in. He didn't even budge. Fudgicles! The guy's made of steel sometimes, I swear to God. While I was debating on what to do next, a lightbulb went off in my head. Two can play this game, I thought to myself while laughing evilly mentally.

I slowly stood up on my tiptoes without thinking and brought my lips to his. His eyes widened with surprise, but he quickly composed himself. I even shocked myself with the action. He brought his hands around my waist (still holding the cookie, may I add). I wasn't experienced in kissing, so I let Ryder lead. I felt myself getting lost in the kiss. Never in a million years would I imagine that sharing bacteria and germs would feel so rainbows and unicorns and skittles mixed into one. Oh my bajesus, what is this wizardry? My stomach was a stampede of elephants and my heart was like a million fluttering butterflies. Or was it the other way around? For the love of God, I couldn't even think straight! I felt Ryder smiling into the kiss, which made me do the same. Nearly forgetting the task at hand, I was slowly forgetting the reason behind this in the first place. Something jolted my mind and my senses came back to me. Slowly and carefully, I brought my small hand to Ryder's big one and slyly stole the cookie. I broke the kiss as I needed to breath. I looked at him. Then we both smiled, there was no need for words. I pecked him on the lips once more before I brought my hand and placed the cookie in my mouth, enjoying the chocolatey goodness. I freed myself from Ryder's grasp, where he was gaping like a goldfish. After I swallowed, I smiled up at him.

"We can't all get what we want," I mimicked him while skipping out of the room.

As I was entering the room to watch some SpongeBob, from the corner of my eye I saw Ryder smiling while shaking his head and muttering

"I already have."

At hearing this, a full blown grin appeared on my face. Realisation dawned on me that my first kiss with Ryder was only because of a cookie. Not only because of a cookie, my conscience told me. I agreed with it, of course. I'm pretty certain that Ryder will forever remember and be in debt to that cookie.

But Ryder is like my cookie. I will always love him.

\N:To be honest, I'm just experimenting and some of this mightn't make sense. I'm really sorry, oops. Haha. Well this is my entry for ambrosia_'s amazing story "The Bad Boy & Me"! I really love the story, so thought why not enter? This will be my first time entering anything, so please. bear that in mind. I was so busy during the week that I barely had time to do it, so I had to rush it since the deadline is today. I was under pressure to get it done so please excuse any mistakes, since I didn't really edit it. If you spot any grammar, spelling, or just any mistakes, please let me know. Did you like it? I'm really concerned that I didn't portray the characters well or that I did something wrong. So tell me what you think in the comments, everything is appreciated! :)

This is a little note to the author of the story, Viju.

Hi, I'd just like to say that you're a really great author and I love your stories! I hope you enjoy this one shot. :) I'm really not expecting to win this in a million years, since I'm aware that my writing isn't the best and it was really sloppily and badly written. It was so hurried because I was worried that I wouldn't make the deadline. Really love Chloe & Ryder <3 Even though the plot is really cliché, there's something about it that makes me really excited for the next update. I'm a big fan of yours! :D I think that's it, I won't waste any more of your time. Sorry, thanks for reading (hopefully)! Oh, and can I just say that your taste in guys is amazing, but unfortunately last time I checked I was married to Finn Harries, Francisco Lachowski and Sean O'Donnell. Sorry to be the bearer of the bad news. :/ But I'm willing to share since I love your story so much and because I'm a nice person. Oh, the joys. Ok, sorry for wasting even more of your time, but I couldn't not mention that, so yeah.

Χοχ,
