"Either you tell us what's going on," Instructed the SandWing, "Or we knock you dragonets out and take you with us,"

I didn't want to get knocked out again. But if I remained weak as they escorted us to the Scorpion Den, then they wouldn't hold onto us so hard, then we could break free. But if they knocked us out, then they would be able to lock us up without a fight. I preferred that we told them, but that we told them a different story.

"And no, lying to us will not work," sneered the SandWing, as if he was reading my mind, "We all know that the IceWings and SkyWings are enemies, without reason, so saying, 'I'm hanging out with my SkyWing buddy!' won't work, dearie,"

"We're traveling to the Rainforest," Penguin blurted, "We're trying to save Queen Glory!"

"Very good, IceWing. Following orders, unlike your sister," He said, smiling an evil smile, "'trying to save Queen Glory?' She's fine! With her cross-tribe of RainWings and NightWings! Why would you need to save her?"

'Penguin! You shouldn't have said that last part!' I thought.

"No more lies," The SandWing said again, and then two of the SandWing guards stepped closer to us, "Tell us this instant,"

Penguin whimpered. I looked down at her then back at the SandWing.

"Okay, okay," I said, waving my talons and folding my wings, "We heard that a SkyWing is going to murder the Rainforest Queen, and we're trying to stop him. Now may we be on our way?"

"Oh, a SkyWing spy, huh?" The SandWing nodded at Ledge, "You got to be kidding me! Aren't you royalty or something? The queen's niece?"

'Royalty? What?' I looked over at Ledge whose head is low, 'Roya-. Wait, we'll sort this out later! The SandWing doesn't know about the Obsidian Mirror! He thinks that Ledge is a spy! Maybe we have a chance to get out of here!'

"Wait, so the assassin is on Queen Ruby's side, or not?" The SandWing continued, "Yes or no?"

Ledge looked up at the SandWing and glared at him, "Of course not," She spat, "Queen Ruby would never have a dragon assassinate another queen. What kind of dragon, like you, would think that?"

"Uh, us?" He played, "Anyway, I think you guys are free to go," The guards backed up a few spaces, and waved their talons behind them. Us three opened our wings and lifted off into the sky. I looked down at the SandWings, and the one who did all the talking winked at me. I shivered and looked away.
