-Ava's Point of View-

I lay on my bed, my mind coming back to reality. The night that started me and Jessie was the hardest and best night of my life. It took a while for me to get my head back on right. Jessie helped me through school and depression. He and I flushed all my razors, changed my style, and reminded me everyday that he wasn't going anywhere. We've been together for almost 4 years. Next Monday will be the anniversary, and I couldn't be more stressed out. Don't get me wrong, I love that we're finally getting to it, but I have no idea what to get him. He has a dinner surprise for me, and I'm supposed to plan the day date. Lacy and Sam have helped out best they can. Jonah is helping me with what to wear. Miley is helping me with the playlists. I just don't know what it should center around.
A soft knock from my door interrupted my thoughts. I leaned over and waited as the door slowly swung open. Jessie stood in my doorway. His brown hair styled the same, his white t shirt fitting his torso perfectly. His tan board shorts were ironed nicely. He kicked off his Nikes and walked softly over to my side. I smiled softly and reached out for his hand. He lifted the blankets and slid into the bed next to me. His arm sliding under my shoulders, his other arm draping across my stomach and back. He kissed my forehead and smiled down at me. "Morning, beautiful. How'd you sleep?" He asked with a raspy morning voice. I kissed his soft lips, my hands exploring over his shirt. "Would've slept better if you had stayed." I replied looking into his deep blue eyes.
"I Would've stayed, but you know how my mom gets." He said as a random strand of hair covered my face. He lightly brushed it back to its place behind my ear, and leaned forward.
Our lips touched and fireworks exploded. My hand snaked around to behind his head, and lightly tugged on his hair. He groaned a response and placed his hand firmly on my back. He pulled me against his hard, chiseled abs. He loved showing off his muscles. But mostly, he loved showing me off in public. His breath tickled my face as he slowly moved on top of me. A pair of socks hit the back of his head.
"Knock it off, you two." My mom yelled from the hallway. I let out a small laugh as his face grew bright red. "Let me get dressed, and we can go." I said kissing him one last time. "Go where?" He asked face planting a pillow. "Uh, school," I replied climbing out from under him. "Ugh, that still exists?" He asked leaning up on his elbows. He turned around to get up, when he stopped abruptly. I peeled off my black t shirt and went to grab a new shirt from my closet. One thing I love to do, is tease him. If he gets to show me off to the world, I get to tease him. I plucked a grey tank top off of its hanger and put it on my dresser. I readjusted my sports bra, and turned my back to him. I swiftly removed the torture chamber and replaced it with a red and grey bra. "Babe, can you help me?" I asked pulling it closed and looking over at him. He had a pillow on his lap and was sitting at the foot of my bed. He motioned for me to walk over, and I did. He quickly latched it closed and squeezed my ass. I jumped a little and laughed "Hey, I'm hurrying." I said and pulled the shirt over my head. I pulled down my underwear and replaced them with the ones that matched my bra.

The first time Jessie had come over in the morning he learned that I don't sleep in pants. They're uncomfortable. His face lit up like a Christmas tree.

I slid on my black high rise shorts, and put on my black combat boots. He tossed my red flannel button up, that used to be his, at me. I quickly put it on, and ruffled my hair. My hair is so fine and thin that it rarely needs to be brushed. I just have to run my fingers through it, and it's good as new.
I turn over to him and raise my arms for a hug. He stays still and smiles. "Um, can I have a hug?" I ask waiting. He shakes his head, "babe, I've got a little... er... problem." He says and flashes a cheesy smile. I laugh out and my face gets red. "Oops, um.. do you need to-" I start and he swiftly gets up and speed walks to the bathroom. I laugh a little more, and turn over to my mirror. I fix my mascara, and apply some EOS.

Eventually, Jessie emerged from the bathroom and gave me a thumbs up. I rolled my eyes and walked with him to the kitchen. We both grabbed an Apple, and I grabbed my school bag. "Come straight home from school!" My mom yelled as we walked out the front door. "Yes, ma'am!" I replied and closed the door. A cheerful chirp came from his car as we made our way towards it. "What's after school?" He asked opening the door for me. "Project with Lacy and Miley." I replied sliding onto the seat. He nodded and closed the door.
Jessie has always been a gentleman, which is funny because his family is just a bunch of slobs. He is the one who keeps order in his house. He doesn't want to be embarrassed in case friends come over. Which is understandable. If my parents did nothing but drink and waste away their lives, I'd want a little control over mine as well.

He closed his door once he was in the car, and placed the keys in ignition. The car roared to life, and so did the radio. Loud music, I'm guessing he left on from last night, blared painfully into my ears. He turned it off and looked over at me. "Sorry, I must've forgotten to turn it off." He explained as he peeled out of my driveway.
I shrugged it off, and looked out the window. Jessie never plays his music this loud. Ugh, Ava, stop being paranoid! I mentally battle myself. Before I know it, we're in the school parking lot. I unclip the seat belt, and push open the door. As I'm exiting something shiny catches my eye. Something golden on the car floor. A gold hoop earring. That's not mine, I can't wear them. He knows that. Why is it in his car? I close the door and slide my bag up to my shoulder. As we walk towards the school, all I could think about was Jessie's weird behavior.
I'm used to girls looking at him like they want him. But, he would hold out their stare. Kim from 5th Period, Janet from 3rd, Sandra from 4th. But the one that really got my attention was when he looked at Kiara. She walked passed with her two besties, and openly checked out Jessie. As soon as she was out of eyesight, he looked back at her. At her ass.. Ava, stop it. He wouldn't cheat on you. Ever! This is Jessie we're talking about. I shook off the horrible thoughts, as someone's back collided with my face.
I snapped back to reality, and Jessie braced my back. "Hey! Watch it!" The stranger said turning around. His expression softened when he saw me. "Oh, my bad." He said moving out of the way. "Watch it, dick." Jessie said, ushering me along.
"It wasn't his fault, you didn't have to call him that." I said softly as we walked away. "Ava, do you even know who that creep was?" He asked with a warning tone. "No, and frankly, I don't care. You were rude. Go apologize." I said stopping in my tracks. He looks back at me and scoffs. "You've got to be kidding me, I'm not talking to that freak." He says raising his voice.
"He can't me more of a freak than I am." I said sternly.
"Take that back."
"Only if you apologize for what you said to him."
"No way. Forget it." He replied and walked down the hallway without me.
Fine, I'll go apologize.
I turned around only to find the guy gone. I looked around to See if I could see the back of his head, but I got no luck.
