A Love Like No Other

The Truth

Teddy was in his bed when he heard the howl that night. The night was cool and calm. The full moon was shinning bright. Six year old Teddy slipped out of his bed scared as he heard the wolf howl again. He ran to his mum room and entered without knocking. "Mum, there is a wolf out there howling" Teddy said in a scared voice.

Dora sat up rubbing her eyes. She patted the bed and Teddy ran up to it then jumped on it. "Carefully Teddy" Dora replied.

"Sorry mama, and sorry babies" he replied to his mum and the twins.

He crawled up to his mum. She kissed his forehead. "Can't sleep?" Asked Dora.

"Yea it is that stupid wolf is at it again" Teddy spoke in a soft voice.

Dora sighed. They would have to tell Teddy and soon. Remus wasn't able to get wolfsbane this time. "Why don't you lay down here and sleep" said Dora.

Teddy laid down. Dora smiled as Teddy drifted off to sleep. She laid back down and fell asleep. Soon morning was upon them. Remus slowly made his way up the stairs. "Dora" Remus hoarsely called out.

Dora slowly got up trying not to wake Teddy and went to greet Remus. She waited as he took the last step. "Hey, Remus we have talk to. Teddy woke up again last night" Dora stated.

Remus groaned. He had wanted to wait for the right time to tell Teddy but, soon Teddy was bound to find out. "Fine, we can talk to him later today" said Remus.

Teddy poke his head out as Dora grabbed Remus arm and lead him to their room. "Mommy what is going on?" Teddy asked in a scared voice.

He ran to hide under the bed at the sight of his scared father who was much worse today. Dora helped Remus to the bed then went the other side. "Teddy please come out, so that we can talk? It is hard for mommy to come get you" said Dora.

Dora slowly got down on her knees as Teddy came from under the bed. He gave his mother a hug. "Mommy what is wrong with Daddy?" Teddy asked.

Dora brushed his blue hair back. "You know that wolf that howls every full moon" Dora started. Teddy nodded. "Well, that is daddy, he can't help it. A bad werewolf turned him into one when he was younger. So now each full moon he has to deal with the hardships" Dora finished.

Remus just sat there listening without turning around. Teddy slowly got up then walked over to his father. "Daddy, I love you very much" Teddy stated.

He held out his arms for his dad to take for a hug. Remus painfully bent down and gave him a hug. "I love you too, Teddy" Remus replied back.

Teddy let go and climbed up on the bed. "Mommy can I help take care of daddy. I promise to be good and help" said Teddy.

Remus leaned back then laid down in the bed. Dora smiled.
